C_Lost 11-08-2006, 10:28 PM Jack is finally impressing me since early in season 1 Hanso Founder 11-08-2006, 10:39 PM I agree it is nice to see him stepping up to the plate again skady 12-05-2006, 11:29 AM I agree it is nice to see him stepping up to the plate again i don't think he ever lose his strenght... i didnt get surprise, i felt something like that had to happen... cause jacks is a very complex character, he's the best! LostFANatic91 12-05-2006, 11:41 AM I'm curious as to what going to happen when when/if Ben wakes up. How Jack is going to react... If Jack has a plan when Ben wakes up, and what he's going to say. So much good stuff that's going to happen in February! I do agree, Jack has really improved, and he's really been marvelous this season. richlost 12-05-2006, 12:38 PM I'm curious as to what going to happen when when/if Ben wakes up. I do agree, Jack has really improved, and he's really been marvelous this season. I'm curious about Ben's condition too. It appeared that Jack made the cut very early on in the operation, so even if he does get to stop the bleeding, there's still the tumor issue to deal with. 1. Does he tell him he took it out, but not really do it? 2. Does he just sew him up, and leave it? 3. Does he stay and complete the operation? 4. Does he take it out but tell them it's still fatal? I think his best option is # 4, It gives him the most bargaining power, make Ben think he needs Jack again. But then again, Ben put himself in Jack's hands twice now, is Ben invincible, or has he read this story and already knows how it ends. Number 1 and 2 probably would not be smart, because Ben might get another X-Ray. 3. At the moment Jack has the upper hand, if he completed the operation, Ben would get back his power. #4 Does seem the smartest. Maxum 12-05-2006, 07:54 PM I'm a little confused as to why some feel that Jack has "improved" or is finally "stepping up to the plate." I think Jack's actions and reactions have been consistent the past two and half seasons. Is he flawed? Sure. A little hot-headed? Yep. But Jack never stopped being the man MOST of the Losties looked up to or the person that would risk his life to save any of them. He's made mistakes, but the list of characters on Lost that have screwed up from time to time is quite long. Scion9 12-06-2006, 12:24 AM I don't find his actions in I Do inconsistent like Maxum, however it's just that there aren't very many opportunities for Jack to do that kind of stuff. He's been an almost complete loner for a whole season, and for the majority of his conflicts with the Others, the Others have decidely had the upper hand. There was never an opportunity that presented itself because there was never any leverage until then. In conflicts dealing with his fellow survivors he's been rather in control of the situations, with only a few exceptions. I think improved in terms of finally being able to overcome circumstances that are beyond his control and not hang on to them. Sara for example, when he finally asked Juliet 'Is she happy?' For him to even contemplate such a question was a big step and leave it in the past so he could move forward; not wallow in self-pity or failure as a husband. I too think that Ben will have greater respect for Jack as long as Jack follows through and keeps his word. Mele Kalikimaka! :) aurorawest 12-09-2006, 03:12 PM I like to imagine Jack and Ben becoming BFFs. ;) |
