I kinda thought Ben was Alex's father, he asked if Alex asked for him before he went to surgery. Seemed kinda odd otherwise, why else would she ask about him??

I'm thoroughly confused by this thread. What does Pickett have to do with Alex & Rousseau??? I thought the Others took Alex as an infant & I'm assuming that they raised her - since Ben seems to be in charge, he would have been a father figure (and therefore, Alex would be another character with "daddy" issues).

Yes, it seems more likely that Ben is the father, not Pickett. But even that takes some logical steps forward from what we heard.

In another thread Eric mentioned that Alex called Pickett "Daddy." But, I'm pretty sure it was "Danny." Same thing happened with Colleen, and we know she was his wife, not his daughter.

Oh, ok! Now this makes a bit more sense. I was trying to figure out how we already "knew" that Pickett was her father and were already jumping into questions about Rousseau!

No, it wasn't just Eric. I heard Colleen say "daddy" my first viewing of that epi too.

Sounds like Danny to me. And every single Other is calling him Danny. Why would Juliet, Colleen, Alex, Ben, Tom, etc all call Pickett "daddy"?

Wait a minute..maybe through all this confusion someone has a point. Why did Ben specifically ask about Alex? It struck my brain as off when he said has Alex asked about me? A flood went through my head. First, could Ben be daddy? If anyone is going into surgery, especially one that is life threatening, if they have children or a child that they didn't speak to before surgery, they would ask..has my child called, are they here, have they inquired about me? Possibly Rousseau lied and Ben really is the father of Alex. Possibly Ben is a liar and did not live on the island his whole life. After all, he did tell Sawyer he was a good con, but "they" were better cons. Ya just never know with this show!

Alex seems to be the daughter of someone very important, the way everyone just works around her rebellion.

I swear I heard Alex call Pickett "DaddY" and not "Danny". That's why it opened up a can of worms about Rousseau...(Whom I think is just strange and mysterious, and perhaps Patch's girl? :eek2: )

But if the whispers thread says Alex yelled out "'Danny", then, as thread starter, I officially declare this thread moot and ask the mods to close it please.

The people I watched it with heard "Daddy" too, so you're not alone.

The same people that heard "daddy" instead of "Danny" (there is and always was a very clear and distinct difference between the two sounds) are probably the exact same people that saw the pot tent guard and thought it was Desmond, saw the 75 year old bald man and thought it was Locke, or saw Dr. Candle and thought it was Jin. I swear some people on this board just don't have adequate auditory skills and facial recognition skills to be able to watch this show.

And like I said earlier, would it really make sense for Tom to be calling Pickett "daddy?" Use your head.
