Who opened the door and let Jack out? Alex? Ben?

It sounded like Alex on the intercom, but it might have been just a way to get Jack to see Kate and Sawyer snuggling. I don't know WHY, but the Others are so interested with messing with their heads...

Yeah, I wasn't sure either. It was definitely a female voice.... My boyfriend thought it was Alex. Didn't really sound like Juliet and no other female character would make sense.

I think Jack was meant to see those moniters, and find the guns. Did Ben think he would be jealous? Why give him access to a weapon? ,Who unlocked the door? , Did Ben really think Jack would not kill him, "under the knife"? ,:eek2: Whatever or whoever, it partially worked, Jack agreed to operate. Of course, our good Dr. had his own agenda!:biggrin:

You're right, it sounded like it was Alex on the intercom...but wasn't that AFTER Alex was restrained and taken away from the worksite? I doubt she would have had free run of the Hydra station after that. On the other hand, it probably all was a setup to get Jack in to the monitors to see Kate & Sawyer. I can't believe this plot is so cheesy. So classy, Lost writers. So classy.

Exactly. A Ben/Juliet ploy from the get-go. And Jack apparently reacted just the way they wanted him to! But like echo said, Jack had his OWN agenda! :clapping:

its obvious ben knew jack wouldnt kill him. he was standing in the eye of the gun and had a calm expression about him. i think this was part of bens plan to get jack on his side.

Slow it down, look gain, Sawyers lock wasn't locked when she hit it the first time.

I think there there are so many variables its impossible to determine who it was and what their intentions were.

*It sounded like Alex.
*Alex was supposedly taken back to the main island.
- Alex is good, so you'd think the intentions for this is for Jack to get out and escape,
- Why would she want him to escape, where would he go?
*Ben has been playing on the JKS triangle this entire time.
*Jack gets out and finds the tv with SK sleeping together.
- Set up, Alex wouldn't be involved.
* Ben shows up and Jack agrees to his offer.
- Ben knew.

Who knows? It's hard to say it was Alex because it just broke our Lostie's spirit and it was a set up, but it couldn't be anyone else's voice because having it be Juliet wouldn't be reasonable and we know no other female others (except for Klugh)

Remember that the during a long con, getting the mark to believe they are in charge is the key part.

Ben/Julliet ("Bulliet" ... "Jenry" ....) are the puppetmasters pulling the strings on this con. Not sure if they are totally syncronized, but they are definately in charge of this one.

Jack may seem to think he was acting on "his own free will" but he was manipulated into acting the way he did. Not sure if the "accident" in surgery was part of the plan or not, but everything leading up to it "was according to the plan."
