Can we get a pic of Ben's TV monitors.

In the watching live thread Kell said he saw a picture of a beach, it'd be great to comfirm that and see what else he was watching.

Thank you! I meant to go back and count the monitors because I thought there were 8. I think Sawyer and Kate were on the 2nd monitor. I wondered if the other hatches were hooked up, and my next thought was maybe he would see Locke and Sayid since Sayid was trying to get a feed to the other monitors. Then I realized Locke was already back burying EKO. So, I wonder if Ben can see from one direction, if Sayid rehooks the monitors if they will be able to see whats going on in the hydra station? Just a thought.

Oh and I meant to ask if whoever gets the clip of the hydra monitors, if they could compare them to the clip of the monitors shown as a preview for 2007. There must be something really important with these monitors because they have been showing them alot lately. Re: One Eye (Patchy or Gimpy), the Pearl station and the Hydra and now 2007 previews too. Hmmmm?

The monitor screens seem to rotate through a few camera angles, but it also seems like the same images are coming up on multiple screens. Some are easily recognized like Sawyer's cage, but others are more unclear like the jungle scenes. I wonder how many of these images we've seen already and how many we haven't seen yet. And yes, they must be important since they are shown so much. There's probably some big obvious clue that's just not registering.

Probably for our benefit, for US to see what he saw without questioning. the resolution was also alot better when we got the zoomed in shot.

Yeah judging from the interest in this thread and the previous one from TGB, it doesn't seem like people are all that interested in the images on the TV monitors, but I agree that they could tell us a lot, about what the others are capable of observing and also what their current plans are.

I don't watch previews, so I don't know personally, but that's interesting they showed them there.

Gumpy5 showed in an earlier thread that one jungle scene is the same spot as where wet walt appeared in front of Shannon, another jungle scene is the same as what Sayid was looking at when he and Jin were in the bushes waiting to ambush the others in TGB.

The close up is the same angle as the "shot" of them in color we saw just moment earlier. Frankly, that bugs me. But they are definately re-using shots for some of those other monitors and thats also bugs me. It's not enough to ruin the episodes for me, but I do kind of see it as lazy film making. :)

Yeah, that's true and it's totally possible that they are just slapping stock photos, or easy to obtain photos onto the monitors. Rvturnage asked Gregg Nations if the images on the monitors had an intended significance or if we should just write them off as stock photos. Gregg response was to keep watch, wait and see. Since he didn't immediately dismiss the images on the monitors, I'm guessing they are of significance.

Screen 3 does look like it has some sort of building in it.
Screen 2 looks like a walkway or path of some sort.

I agree with both of those. Screen three definitely looks like it has the side of a building in it. Screen two isn't as clear but it still looks like a walkway to me.

What's on screen 6 in this picture? I can make out foliage and what looks like some sort of structure, but I can't tell exactly what I'm looking at.

Gumpy5 showed that there's a jungle scene that's the same spot Walt appeared in front of Shannon in MOSMOF, there's another jungle shot that corresponds to what Sayid was looking at when He and Jin were inthe bushes in TGB. So either, Ben can see the main island or they reused photos.

They were probably state of the art in the early 70's, when all the stations were built, but no, I don't think they have high def or plasma screens available to them. :D

The reason for the glasses is because of his tumor, he can't see correctly. Just like when Sawyer needed glasses back in season 1. The building could be some little complex near the village, or in a beach front. Possibly, on the second island maybe.

On top of the loudspeakers it looks like a very old camera. If it were a floodlight it would probably have that oval shape that most floodlights have, but it doesn't its square. The new security cameras are round and black, but the older ones look like a square or rectangle.

Thanks for those pictures, and yes it is a floodlight, but the box may just have wires... Hmm.

They are for sure flood lights but there very well may be cameras on those poles.

the photo in the top left hand corner seems to be of a bathroom, locker room or bathhouse. Any of which would seem pretty pery to have a camera located in them.

I think that it is pretty safe to assume that screens change often, so that there are many more than just 6 areas being watched. Remember, the first time that Jack looked at those screens, before he got the gun, it wasn't showing Sawyer and Kate, it changes screens just as he returned.

However, it is also safe to assume that Ben is a pervert who gets his kicks off of spying on people.

Number three doesn't look like a building to me, but rather a wooden box on a pedestal. Or something to that effect.

there is supposedly a beach/housing cam. Couldn't be other ville. since it's in the middle of the forest. must be on the second island.
