We know there's always double [or multiple] meanings to the titles, so this can't just mean that Kate was once married (albeit fraudulently, since she didn't use her real name), that she once said "I do."

So what else do you think it is?
There's the idea that it could be "I do" love Sawyer....
or "I do give up for Sawyer"
or maybe something else. What other permutations could there be to this?

"I do" not know where we are going with the storyline. I think.

It had everything to do with Kate's wedding, probably.

Inker: no, I don't agree. I think that there are always two levels of meaning to the show's titles. Well, 'most always, anyway. :)

The obvious is a reference to the wedding. You're probably right with giving up for Sawyer. Ironically she's someone who wants to run and couldn't settle down, yet she settled down in a cage with Sawyer quite nicely and in the end had to be yelled at by Jack to run.

I also like to look at other configurations of the titles, like "Raised by Another" could be "Raised by An Other". This one would be "Id O", with a reference to the id (psyche). Primitive, deep desires like sex and fury. Jack's letting his id flow all over in this episode by almost killing Ben, and Saywer & Kate had sex in a cage.

I see a parallel between her having to leave a man she cares for behind, who is too good for her, in order to run again

Thank you, ame en peine and ncagl280, that's exactly the kind of thing I was looking for!
Interesting points you guys made.

I think the "I Do" reflects on the fact both Kate and Sawyer admit they both love each other.

The fact she got married in the FB is a throwoff, as we never heard her say i do, but I think its more of a reference to the fact she married Kevin.

I took the title to be a reference to the question, "Does Kate really love Sawyer?" But that could be just my Skater bias talking.

Nice job!
[and if anyone takes that to mean I'm a shipper, well...
come out with your hands up! ]
no, wait...that's not what I meant. :D
100%
Reading another thread made me think of this...

Jack: "I do" what you [Ben] say, and you let me go.
so another possibility of a layer of meaning could be from Jack's POV.
