Ever since the end of last season, I've been fascinated by the character of Bea Klugh. In some ways, I find her even creepier than Benry Linus-Gale...and most of all, I am eager and antsy to see her get a flashback episode, and find out at least SOME of her backstory (life before the island) before they kill off the character.

But it's been six episodes, and Miss Klugh hasn't made one single appearance. Why not? She was on the pier at the end of last season's finale. Did the producers decide not to renew April Grace's contract for some reason? It would be a horrible shame, because April Grace does a fantastic job in the role - - plus, as we saw in "Three Minutes," Miss Klugh obviously has an on-island link to Walt from during his captivity.

Plus, I'm dying to see the following scene play out:

[Sawyer is being held in isolation, by The Others; they send Miss Klugh in to introduce herself]

Miss Klugh: Hello, James.
Sawyer: [suspiciously] Who the hell are you?
Miss Klugh: You may call me Miss Klugh.
Sawyer: [sneering, sarcastically] What is that, like "Miss Cleo"?

Not to mention my much-desired "Klugh vs. Rose" showdown....

I know a lot of people want to see the character of Bea Klugh get her just desserts...but come on, at least give us a Bea-centric episode before writing her off the show!

Some one said the actress wasn't available.

And that she was going to get shot by Sun but they had to use the actress who played Colleen instead

She was doing a play during production of the first six eppys.

I'm sure she'll be back as soon as she can, to reprise Bea Klugh.

Personally, I don't like them adding new detailed people to the cast. I want to see more of our guys.

I really liked Klugh and it would have been a bigger shock to see Sun kill her rather than Colleen.

I'm glad it wasn't Klugh, as I think that she's a big tie-in to the Walt story, which will (hopefully) be told/explained at some point. *keeps fingers crossed*

I really liked Klugh and it would have been a bigger shock to see Sun kill her rather than Colleen.

It also would have been a big waste. I certainly hope it wasn't true that they had intended to kill off Miss Klugh in "The Glass Ballerina"...because if it was, and the writers' plans haven't changed, then that doesn't bode well for the possibility of a Miss Klugh flashback episode. :frown:

I know, I have an obsessive "crush" on Bea Klugh....someone here once told me they should send me on the Pala Ferry so I can be abducted and learn all about her. ;)

I don't think that'll ever happen. We already have a full load of characters and from what I've heard the actress who plays Klugh is a busy woman who's already involved in a play and that's why she couldn't make it back down- she's not contracted on the show. But I don't know much about it- I just assumed they were going to kill her for shock value and because they couldn't really keep the actress on the show for much longer anyways.

Well then the producers need to reevaluate things, and offer April Grace a steady gig (even if it's just a 7-8 episode arc as a limited-time recurring guest star).

I realize that they will probably kill off the character eventually...I just want to LEARN more about what she was doing before she came to the island (and how that has influenced her motivations) before Miss Klugh is deep-sixed and relegated to mere cameos in other people's FBs.

this question has been dwelling in my mind for weeks now... It's really weird that we haven't heard of Ms Klugh yet, so far... I really hope they don't just let her hang forever... Same applies for Rose and Bernard... and Vincent...

If you're really wanting to see more of April Grace, she's in the miniseries "The Lost Room", airing right now on the Sci Fi channel.

I like Rose and Vincent. The rest are food for the fodder.

Im sure one of the producers said that we have seen a clue with her.

I thought it could be that her name is Bea, like a queen Bee, she is in charge and everybody else are her worker Bees and soldier Bees(if there is such a thing)

just wanted to chime in and say that i hope they bring back miss klugh as well!

i saw her in "the lost room" and her character just wasn't as intense or interesting. or mysterious. she was just kinda average.

Haven't been on the lage in a while, so I didn't get a chance to say how sad I was to see Ms Klugh die, I hope we see more of her in a flashback.

It's possible that we may see her in flashbacks. I can't understand how people were so attached to her though, We hardly knew her character. Same thing with Paolo and Nikki I could never understand how some people were so upset that they died. Oh well to each their own right?!!! I hear there is going to be a ben episode this season. Perhaps Miss Klugh may be in that.
