ANOTHER GAP from S2 to S3

WHY the frack do the Others wear those baggie rags when on the 'crash island' lower portion, but clothes in their little cabin-camp (which is on the SAME island, according to the pull-back shot 3.1), and clothes at the Hydra station??

WHAT is all about the south part of the island??

If you didn't get it from Kate finding the rag-clothes, fake beard and glue in the medical hatch back in season 2, then you REALLY should have got it when Sayid stormed the fake village and the fake "door" hatch. It was all to throw our Losties off and make them think the Others were a lot less civilized than they are. They only wore those things in places that the Losties might see or run into them. There was no need for them to stay in character when in Othersville or on the Hyrda station island because the Losties were told by Tom/Zeke not to cross the "line."

To put it plainly, it was the Others' long con.

Very good!! Here's the next question. At one point, we here at the lage believed that there is another group of others. We refered to one group as the boaties and the other group as the ferels. The former took Walt and the latter took the tailie kids. Now we believe the two groups are the same (although some still believe in another group).

However, is it part of their con that they are disguising themselves as the other other group? What you believe is that they used the clothes to make themselves seem less civilized. Their clothes have no tags because they wanted to seem as they have no outside contact. However, do you believe that there is a chance that they are mimicking another group?
