I recall that Clair's test result showed a blue circle symbol indicating positive results where Juliette sister's test results show pink with two lines indicating positive. I don't know too much about these pregnancy testers but is blue suppose to be for a boy and pink for a girl? Is it possible that Juliette sister was not pregnant given that the result indicator differed form Clair's pregnancy tester?

There are different brands of pregnancy tests with different affirmative and negative symbols and colors, so it would make sense that they were different.

Different tests show the results in different ways. One test may show a filled in circle, one may show 2 lines, and another may show a plus sign or minus sign.

I don't recall Juliette's sister's test showing pink with 2 lines. I thought it showed a blue plus sign?

Oh, and the color has nothing to do with the sex of the baby. The only way to find that out is by sonogram or amniocentesis.

hmm..i d like to believe that the one who planted a ''always positive'' pregnancy test is Ethan in order to make Juliet leave her sister and be recruited to their co.so,if thats so,responsible for Rachels ''pregnancy''is Ethan(im saying ethan but of course mean the others,mittelos,etc) still...maby its not real in the first place..the whole sun pregnancy thing..just like it happened with rachel...possibly...

What I found interesting is that there are apparently two Widmore pregnancy test models. Sun’s had a double line system and Juliet’s sister’s had a + sign. That indicated to me that they were different companies so I didn’t think Widmore was represented in this scene until reading this tread.

I'm not sure how Juliet can be responsible for Sun's pregnancy.... that would be REALLY far-fetched. Unless, like a lot of other people are speculating, it has something to do with the power of the island. I dunno, that seems a little too out-there for the type of concrete things they write about on the show.

I think it's creepy how involved Ethan is with all of the pregnancy issues. With Claire and Rachael/Juliet. SICK!

There are two types of pregnancy tests: double line, and cross. (There are actually digital ones now too, that pop up with the word "pregnant"--Widmore isn't that advanced yet--LOL.)

I think Sun's was a double line. Rachel's was the blue cross. They both mean positive. (The color is irrelevant.)

While a urine pregnancy test says "yes, you are pregnant," a blood pregnancy test actually quantifies the amount of HCG (pregnancy hormone) in the blood. So this is often used to confirm pregnancy and also to confirm that the HCG numbers are doubling about every 2 days in a healthy pregnancy.
