Does anybody doubt that Edmund's bus accident wasn't an accident?
Did anybody doubt that Pickett would ahve killed Sawyer?

They're not so good after all!

Yeah the others are not saints, that's for sure. Neither are the Losties. But we've been through that before. Now I do find the killing of Edmund Burke interesting though. The recruiting office went to evil lengths to get Juliet on board! Is this how they got a lot of their Others inhabitants?

seriously! I wondered if they confrimed that he was "bad" first.

of course, given the way he was talking tohis mother just before he died and the fear he had Juliet under. . .maybe he fit their definition of bad

It's all part of a new ad campaign...

Juliet: I wish he'd get hit by a bus!

The Dharma Initiative...Making Dreams Come True Since the Early 70's.

Of course, they set up that unfortunate bus "accident". And with Ethan camped out next door...I'm sure they had been following Juliette's research with more than a passing "recruitment" interest.

There's obviously something wrong with the reproductive process of the women on Dharma Island...and they were tracking ANYONE on the mainland who were trying experimental reproductive drugs/procedures...and Juliette's serum probably held the most hope for them.

She said she couldn't join them because of her stupid ex-hubby. BOOM! He's out of the way....next problem? My sister's pregnant...We know...you'll be back in 6 months...next problem?...Fine...right this way...bring your serum.

You just wonder where we'll start seeing the same "guiding forces" leading the Losties to go...um...NOT to Portland. I kinda think Randy may have been a force to get Locke on Flight 815...Hurley driven my Leonard...and Claire's psychic...Kate's marshall...Jack's dad...(or wife?)...Hibbs to Sawyer...Liam to Charlie...Sun's dad (or lover?) to Sun & Jin...etc. Ya wonder if more Dharma people weren't planted...or the Losties relatives were "paid off"...or "promised" something if they could get them to Austrailia to board the doomed flight. They are all there for a "reason", right?

I think we may have seen the first definitive evidence of the Dharma "recruiting process" at work...Is it possible ALL the Losties were being kept tabs on as closely as Juliette was shown to have been in tonight's eppy?

Judging by the size of Jack's file in "A Tale of Two Cities" I'd say so  Juliet said it contains "Everything."

I think the whole angle of getting us to have sympathy for the Others was to get us to understand that not ALL of the Others are bad people. Everyone has an individual story that drives their actions and motivations and they need to be treated as separate entities, not as one large mass of humans melded together. Generalizations are a killer ....... ;)

That said, if we were supposed to have sympathy for Juliet's character I don't know how much of that survived tonight's episode. First she tells the assistant to bring Sawyer and Kate back and, if necessary, to kill them. Then she shoots Pickett, one of her own group of people who was deeply mourning the death of his wife at the hands of the Losties. Somehow it didn't look like that was the first time she'd blown someone away. :undecide:

Anyway, I have a hard time accepting the "we're the good guys" argument. The Others have been responsible for some truly heinous acts and don't appear to have any remorse about them. Juliet may turn out to be a sympathetic character but based on her actions tonight, I'm not sure I could accept her 100%.

Except, perhaps, Jack. He was "never on Jacob's list." Perhaps Jacob's list was of the people on flight 815, not the short list Klugh gave Michael.

Ben says they are the good guys, but heck no! Don't believe him! Although I love his character he is quite creepy and kind of evil I think. Pickett would definitely have killed Sawyer, he's had it out for him since Colleen died. I'm so glad that he's dead now.
Best thing Juliett has done so far on the show.

Of course the Others are killers.

Ethan killed someone on the beach.
Goodwin killed Nathan.
God knows what happened to the real Henry Gale.
