Like Juliet in the 1st episode sayin' somethin' about "Free will existing on ------(interrupted by "earthquake") then tonight's epi Tom's sentence gettin' cut off in the O.R. . And though it's not a cutoff sentence so much as unheard conversation the exchange between Juliet and Ben in the O.R. Oh to be a fly on the wall.

If you don't hear the end of a sentence, chances are the writers/producers have a pretty good reason for keeping you in the dark. However, we're not really "missin' a lot of important cutoff sentances" as you apparently believe.

A. It's pretty obvious Juliet was going to say "on this island." They cut that off before either because of the whole mystery about the possibility of two islands, or because it was a flashback, and they didn't necessarily want us to know that it was taking place on the island.

**Also, the interruption wasn't an "earthquake". It was the plane crash. I thought that was fairly obvious when they looked up at the sky and there was a plane crashing.

B. Tom was beginning to talk about Juliet and Ben's history, which is probably just that he wouldn't let her go back home after the 6 months. But it could possibly be more complex/personal than that.

C. Juliet told Jack what Ben said to her in the O.R. at the end of the episode. (Letting her go home)

I think the sentence from Tom that got cutoff that mrcannibis is talking about is the whole "Ever since the sky went purple" deal, when Jack was asking him about leaving the island.

There WAS an earthquake/shaking before the plane crashed, which is why the Others came out of their houses and saw the plane.

I thought is was rather obvious that the earthquake occured due to the system failure in the Swan - when Desmond was late in entering the code into the computer.

Right on Tarkus... A plane exploding in the sky doesn't make the earth shake. It's LANDING perhaps, but no the initial explosion.

A. Juliet could have been fixin' to say the name of the island which would be even bigger.
b.Juliet said it's an earthquake get in the doorway...I know it was the plane/button that was happenin...thus earthquake in parentheses.
c.Just cause that's what Juliet told Jack doesn't mean that's what Ben actually said.

at the begining of season 3 it wasn't the plane crash it was the island shaking thanks to des. not being there to push the button, then the plane crashed
