View Full Version : "History" between Ben and Juliet...
mrcannabis 02-08-2007, 03:01 AM Maybe Ben tried to brainwash Juliet much like Karl but she was immune to it ...regardless he has been keepin' her there against her will forcing a lovetype relationship on her that didn't go according to plan ...but she realized the force was strong in him powermonger wise. Now he experienced 1st hand that she was willin' to kill him just to get away so he set her free from her enslavement.? any ideas?
wannabecoollikesawyer 02-08-2007, 03:32 AM maybe shes tried to kill him before.
goddessblue 02-08-2007, 04:12 AM Lots of possibilites and too little info at this point, imo. Another scenario is that she could've realized she was stuck there, he was sympethtic, fell in love, then realized the truth, that Ben was behind it and she was Stuck with a capital S cuz he's in charge. Too much to speculate on at this point with out more info.
bakerboys 02-08-2007, 08:19 AM The ad that was on msn.com, lost-media.com and abc.com on Wednesday was interactive. If you clicked on a person's photo a short video played. When you clicked on Ben's it said that he had never lived anywhere else but the island and that he was once married to Juliet.
I don't know if this was a mistake or not but it was an 'official' ABC Lost ad.
lostlocke 02-08-2007, 09:05 AM I'd like to learn more about their history but just not right away. I can't wait to see what's happening at the beach!!

Dezdmona 02-08-2007, 07:44 PM Her deceased husband was a controlling man, and now she's been involved in a relationship with Ben, who is also a controlling man.
I've posted in other threads that her comment in the book club about "here I am thinking free will still exists..." (just before the plane crash) is significant. Certainly that had something to do with her ability to terminate her relationship with Ben. She's finally beginning to take a stand for herself and not allow herself to be controlled by the men in her life.
However, she's in a difficult situation, being on an isolated island, she has to figure out a way to manipulate Ben to allow off the Island...
....perhaps she has finally found a way (that's not saying that Ben actually agreed to free her, but that her collusion with freeing Sawyer and Kate et al, may be her ticket.) :3:
kellost 02-08-2007, 08:17 PM I see a definite correlation....
Ex-husband was controlling, then that problem was solved by him getting hit by a bus.
Ben was controlling, so she was hoping again to get somebody to do away with the problem -- this time she wanted Jack to let him die.

When you put it like that it seems that Juliet's problems lie more with herself than with the men she is involved with.

IMHO, consistent with attractive blondes.
And the problem is...?
Seems like art imitating life, to me.
Yes, I'm 39 and still single. :drowsy: :frown:
MinnieVanMommie 02-08-2007, 10:33 PM in another thread I have been in...not sure which ones.....but it has been thought that PERHAPS ex bus stricken hubby Edmund may be Benry's brother.
They are both control freaks so that could be a link...
