I've enjoyed every Lost recap episode except last night's.

When it was announced that TPTB would be featured on it, I thought, "awesome, they are going to drop a bunch of hints about the show."

Instead, the main purpose of the show seemed to be to desperately convince casual viewers to keep watching "for the characters" and not the mythology. When they were talking about how you can come on board and watch the show for the characters at any time, I was thinking, "geez, they're practically begging for new viewers!"

I understand that they are trying to combat the fact that Lost is a serial show that must be followed regularly in order to be understood, but it was just too transparent.

I would have to agree.

It was definitely geared towards the casual or non-viewer.

It helped me remember things, but I was really bummed about not having the supposed 'secrets' and 'everything I've ever wanted to know' explained.
