Didn't Lost used to be innovative? How many times have we seen that same exact gag happen in TV and film? Let's try and count!!

Bride Of Chucky (film)
Final Destination (film)
Felicity (tv)
Mean Girls (film)
Life On Mars (tv)

I'm sure there's more...

Its an oldie, but a goodie. I don't care how many times it has been done before, and I don't care that I could see it coming, it still cracked me up!!

I think that's kind of the point...

The fact that it's such a common scene in films and TV...that's why Juliet would make such a morbid joke in the first place when she wished he would get hit by a bus. It's one of those bizarre things you always see happening on screen...but rarely in real life. It's too silly an image. But then the fact that it actually HAPPENED...that's what is so crazy to her. Things like that happen to people in horror films and comedies...not to someone she knows.

 Lol. I saw it in the theater with my boyfriend, and everyone was silent/gasping, when he let out the loudest laugh ever. A few people laughed after that, but I'm pretty sure that it was at him (my boyfriend).

It seems to be the quick and easy way to kill someone off in tv/movies, I guess.
