Could it be that Radzinsky actually committed suicide because he kept living his life over and over to this moment, just as Desmond is doing? I assumed it was because of the monotony of the button, and I am sure that took it's toll, but what if there was something more?

maybe thats how he knew so much about the island and was able to paint the map...if he had already painted the map in a past loop, he would know what to paint in this one, etc

It's a neat thought, but I really feel that the "re-living" time travel is unique to Desmond's experience with turning the fail-safe. As for Radzinsky, I think it is safe and reasonable to assume that pushing the button every 108 minutes would alone be enough to drive him to the edge...
