did any one catch a shot of the makers name on that microwave that beeped like the computer in the hatch?

I'm pretty sure it was Sharp.

It was Sharp and that confuses me because all the Sharp microwaves I've had didn't have that kind of beep. I wouldn't think that those appliances would be different in England.

It's actually the same beep sound they have at my local supermarket (Publix) when they scan your grocery items. Everytime I walk in there...I feel like I should be entering the code!!

that would freak me out i've watched too much of this show to think of that beep with anyother thought than the computer in the hatch

It was a part of the show that was supposed to be noticed. Desmond obviously wasn't in awe over how good the food smelt - he was in awe because of the beeping he was familiar with. It's not the sound the real microwave makes - it's the sound the microwave makes in the dream/vision that he was having.
