Not sure if anyone else mentioned this.

When Desmond is reliving his meeting with Whidmore, he sees Charlie playing guitar on the street. Charlie is singing Wonderwall with the lyrics "Maybe you're gonna be the one that saves me"... We then later learn that Desmond has in fact been saving Charlies life (as specifically stated at the end of the episode).

Right when the flashback started, I somehow knew he was reliving past events.. I actually said it to the person next to me. The end of the episode left me with the impression that Desmond is continuously reliving events.

I just knew there was a reason they picked that song when i heard it. Then i thought maybe thats because 99% of buskers sing it lol.

Good catch--I was just singing along thinking, "Awesome! They played a cool song!" not even realizing it was a possible clue!

They definitely picked that song for a resaon

Just been readin comments all around and think that the Wonderwall reference could be to a future moment (in a normal timeline) where Desmond saves Charlie from dying on the island and takes his place instead (as Desmond did with the getting hit with the cricket bat.) Just something to throw out there.
