Hi!

I read something about magnetite, and how it was surrounded in superstition when it was first discovered. Some things people thought it could to was attract ships made of iron, and heal the sick.

I also read a legend, where there was a ship that was being pulled towards a "black rock" and then sunk.

Was this worked into the show on purpose? If so, why? (if you're allowed to say!) Because I thought maybe the messed up compass might have something to do with it too.

I'm not sure I can answer your question as it relates to "magnum," but I can tell you that you will be learning more about the "black rock" in an upcoming episode. The fact that the compass was not working properly was interesting, wasn't it? Something very strange going on on that island, huh?
