Hi - basically if you've read the spoilers, you've seen the episode. I just finished watching it (Atlantic feed in Canada)...

Jack's tats are explained (he walks among us but is not one of us), you see Cindy, but what you've already seen is pretty much it.... and Jack spares Juliet, with one condition - she is marked.

At the end, they all head over in the boats back "home", which is the other's home.

Is Achara (Bai Ling) on the island? What happened in the FB?

Nope, she's just in Thailand...

Basically, Jack didn't explain why he was there, just that he didn't want to talk about his Father.

He is shrouded in mystery with this woman, he doesn't know what she does, and she pretty much just comes and goes.... finally, he follows her one night and finds out that she "sees who people are"... she MARKS him. She tells him he's a follower and a very important man. After he's marked....... some guys come and beat him up on the beach in Thailand.

I guess the only other thing I didn't mention is that Isabel (the lady in the preview who read Jack's tatoo) is the Sherrif on the island and tells Jack that Alcatraz is where they work, and they don't even like coming there.

Karl also tells Sawyer about their life (about Alex and about how they have backyards), and Ben also tells Jack that Ethan was an excellent surgeon. Ben has an infection in his stitches, so Jack will be looking after him until he gets better. Juliet comes to Jack after he saves her and he tells her that he did it so they can both get off the island - but they will need to work together to make Ben keep his word.

Well, Juliet gets branded in a symbol on her lower back - kinda looks like a sun.

Also, Sawyer and Kate just fight about leaving Jack, and Sawyer lets Karl go and find Alex (since they're in love and all), Kate's pissed about that too.

It sounds like almost everything that we've been piecing together from the previews and the set photos. Thats a new one though - about Ethan being a surgeon.

I read the posts everyday, but don't reply often, and I can tell you, I really wasn't very surprised tonight!

it was an ok episode. nothing shocking in it. they showed the little girl (emma?) and she wanted to know how ana lucia was. jack didnt tell her or cindy that ana was dead.

juliet wasnt marked with a tattoo. just burned. kinda like how you brand cattle.

one correction...achara said jack was a leader not a follower. "a leader and a great man". that nearly had me gagging. but she didnt want to mark him with a tattoo. said it was against the way of her people. but jack kinda made her do it. so the next day her brother and his goonies come and beat him up and tell him to get off the island (meaning thailand).

so i only hope its setting up for sometihng big. and i do have a feeling we'll end up seeing bai ling on the island at some point.

I didn't know anything about this episode prior to seeing it, but the only thing surprising about was seeing Cindy.

Yeah, I didn't find much surprising about this episode. Two things I really did enjoy, though, were Jack giving Tom the 'what kind of people are you, then?' speech at the beginning, and the conversation in the jungle between Sawyer and Carl.

I'm sure Jack fans must have LOVED the bedroom scene, though. When will Charlie get one of those? *bats eyelashes*

wow. I"m the biggest LOST supporter in the world but this episode was really bad.

TPTB seem to have a problem distinguishing telling us WHAT is going on on the island vs WHY is it going on. It's the same in flashbacks. Here we found out Jack got a tattoo in Thailand. Thing of it is, we KNEW that already! We still don't know why Bai Ling's character was 'special', we don't know why her brother was upset and beat him up. we don't know what he was doing in Thailand. We don't know the significance of the tattoo.

Back on the island(s), we don't know why Cindy and the tailes were there, why they didnt' say more, why they didn't explain what 'watching' meant (though i guess it had to do with the trial)...WHY was there a trial??? We know WHAT they do, we've known that forever, we don't know WHY


and what on earth is Sawyer doing releasing Karl? The excuse and the guy's guy thing was absurd. He can be of tremendous use to you. And now that it was datetime again, why don't they navigate around the island on boat.
