. . . during the cheesey montage at teh end when it showed Alex and Karl looking at the same stars, did anyone else think of An American Tail and that song?

I LOVE Lost to death, but that was some cheese, right there, big time.

I thought the same thing as well. Appropriate ending for such a horrible episode.

Wow I saw that movie when I was like 6 years old. I thought I was the only one to get that. Wasn't there a "Fivel goes West" movie too?

Unfortunately, yes, there was. So glad I wasn't the only one to start singing in my head right there. *sigh* Fieval... back when life was simple and all you wanted was for the little mouse to be reunited with his family.

I didn't but my hubby did, which really cracked me up because he generally blocks out movies like that. I kept looking at the stars thinking there was an easter egg in the scene. Never once did that cute little mouse cross my mind. :p

WOW-I can't believe so many of us thought the same thing! The writers must have used that movie as their inspiration. If so, note to Carlton and Damon: NEVER use the writers of this episode again.

I thought of the American Tale too and even belted out "...helps to think we're sleeping underneath the same big sky"! Glad to know I'm not the only Lost fan who found that scene so sappy.
