The song Sawyer was singing while rowing was from Jaws, then in the next scene with Jack you hear (da na da na da na da na - in scary Jaws sound)
Just thought it was kinda funny. Probably has nothing to do with anything.

They're gonna need a bigger boat.

Or maybe it's foreshadowing...after all, there is a Dharma shark swimming around somewhere

I'm not even sure if the Dharma shark would have saved this episode...Well, if a limb got bitten off, at least I would have laughed...

Quint died trying to save the citizens of Amity from the beast. I think some parallels can be drawn here. I've been thinking for a while that Sawyer may be on the short list in the death pool. They're building him up to die a hero.

Didn't notice that. Nice though. Explains a little more why Kate was angry.

I noticed it as well and immediately thought of Jaws and the Dharma shark. That was probably one of the best parts of the episode, unfortunately.

DON'T SAY THAT! DON'T EVER SAY THAT! SAWYER CAN'T DIE! SAWYER WILL NEVER DIE!

They're building him up to die a hero. That was my thought, too, after the "Tale of Two Cities" episode title. It will be a "far far better thing" Sawyer sacrificies himself for. :frown:

Considering the last time Sawyer was on a boat (raft) he had to deal with sharks and gunshot wounds... I almost think it's his ornery way of dealing with his fear. :)
