Hey did anyone notice if the kids feet were cleaned up or not? They sure didn't look like they were still living in the jungle as they seemed to be when Jin and Eko saw them way back last season. Well at least Jin and Eko saw their feet and that teddy bear. The teddy bear still appeared to be tied up. Do you think they were cleaned up for their appearance at the kangaroo court for Juliette? I'll tell you what I think. I think the Others dressed up as savages to steal the kids. Then they lived/were kept captive by some others impersonating savages living in the jungle for a while. Then the cleaned up and "good ones" come and make a rescue of the children from the savages. Of course this is all choreographed to make the children think that the "good ones" are their saviours and friends. The Others now have some very willing "test subjects" or whatever it is they are doing.

Sounds like a plausible theory, and I can see that happening. But I doubt we'll ever know the answer to any of that stuff. I mean, look what passed for 'answers' to '3 big mysteries' tonight. Did you miss them? Me too.

I saw nothing but more mystery. Not even a hint of an answer.

This is only speculation but perhaps when we saw the children's feet in the previous season they hadn't been "assimilated" yet.

I like this theory of a staged capture and rescue by the Others. That's the only thing I can make fit the fact that they were still in rags over a month after the crash when Jin/Eko saw them.

I agree. They were obviously dressed up (or down) and even had fake beards. It was all an act I think, to steal the kids and cindy, and be incognito.

The children's feet, as seen by Eko and Jin in "....and Found," probably belonged to Zack, Emma, and the rest of the Tailies.

They were in the process of being assimilated and trained, part of their "conditioning" so they would become accustomed to the jungle terrain.

I really like that idea. I could not think of any reason why the kids would have been barefoot and savage a month after the crash, and now all clean, groomed, civilized, and wearing shoes. But the idea of going through "conditioning", or also the idea of a staged kidnap and rescue, both explain it perfectly.

Didn't Eko and Jin hear whispers right before seeing the barefoot people stealthily walking through the jungle? Do you think that was just coincidence? Probably... but maybe not... I wonder if the kids could hear the whispers? Wouldn't they wonder what all the whispering in the jugle is? Haha sorry I guess I really want more answers about the nature of the jungle/whispers. Hopefully season 3 will come through!

This does make sense, but the teddy bear shown with the "jungle" kids is not the same one shown with the boy (I think).

From what I remember, the "jungle" bear was beat up, torn, tattered, and dirty. The "tallie" bear was in much better condition. We were able to see this bear twice. Once with the boy before he was abducted and once again with Cindy on the way to the Watcher festival.

I know there are screenshots out there, I don't know where they are though :frown:
