Anyone get a look at what kind of Dharma logo it is? Still the Hydra? On my TV it got cut off right before the middle so I wasn't able to see what it was.

If when Jack asked Juliette about Dharma and she said that was a long time ago, then why do they continue to keep these logos around? And why would they conduct such important proceedings-determining whether someone lives or dies-in a room marked with one of their logos? It seems to me that if they aren't really part of Dharma anymore then they should get rid of those things.

I think they are just using the Dharma "props" because they don't have anything else. I guess they didn't think to bring a lectern when they moved to the Island. :)

You make a great point, Aaronsmom. If they had somehow broken away from Dharma with disgruntled feelings, you'd think they'd get rid of some of the Dharma branding.

Perhaps too, the food drops weren't for our Losties and their button pushing in the hatch, but rather addressed to Others Village.

Agreed--or they knew they didn't need to bring much to the island in the first place, since it was all there.

This whole train of thought strikes me as the "reading-too-much-into-it" trend. Sometimes, a logo is just a logo.

Why spend money on things that are already there?

If there is anything sinister about this, then perhaps continuing to use the Dharma stuff (which, remember, NONE of the Losties apparently has EVER heard of in their off-island lives, so why would it matter whether they saw it or not) would be a good way to mislead whoever happened to see the stuff into thinking the Others work for Dharma. In other words, Dharma has become (or always was) a front organization hiding another secret organization. Seems like a lot of work for nothing, but who knows.

It does seem odd that given wht appears to a semi-run down station (rusted polar bear cages, broken intercom, rusty metal doors, etc.) the wooden lectern is in pretty good condition.

the lectern is inside, the intercom was probably broken on purpose

and they didn't move to the island they are connected to dharma and ben has ived on the island his whole life

what gets to me, is juliet did say that it was a long time ago....but why did the food from the food drop still have dharma initiative logos on their packaging??? cause the food drop wasnt too long ago in the shows timeline.

Maybe it was a long time ago when they were with the Dharma. I think that they worked along with them, and for some reason they parted ways. It feels like they have some kind of truce going on, as they don't go to the other side of the island. Also, Kelvin's name for them (aka "hostiles") may be another clue that they were against something that Dharma was about...
