i think the server isn't too busy because there weren't a lot of easter eggs in the show. also, it seems that some people really liked it, but i have to say that i'm not all that thrilled. it was too predictable.
i want to see EVERYONE together again. i feel like it's going to take the entire season to get jack back. i miss the action and adventure and mystery that drew me into the show in the first place. every week, i keep saying to myself, ok, they are just developing the story or characters, but i can't keep making excuses. i miss the old LOST. this isn't the show that i have been watching over and over...and over for years.
the show used to end and i couldn't wait to watch it again. that hasn't been the case in the last couple of weeks.

they didn't even show jack in the previews for next week, but yet another new character. it's getting out of hand.
i'm sad:frown:

Just episode after episode of everyone sitting on the same beach? THat doesn't sound too good to me. I'll take the way it is now over what you are suggesting.

I agree...as I was watching it, I realized there's something missing. I think it's the fact that these characters really don't feel like the same ones from the last two seasons. They're not fleshed out as well...It's like the entire cast is becoming like Nikki and Paulo.

I guess the word for it is DRY...the show has become very dry.

i don't think there has ever been an episode where they all just sat on the beach... you're right. that wouldn't be fun to watch.

This is a universalistic show, they do a lot of different kinds of episodes for different sections of their viewers. For an episode that isn't "for me" I liked it a lot.

ms_mj, I'm sorry you're not getting the same vibe from Lost, but I honestly have to wonder what will give you that vibe back if tonight's episode didn't.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I'm just saying that to me, tonight's episode was perfect in every way possible, and evidence that all the naysayers are way off the mark. Personal opinion.

I hope you get the vibe back. Maybe take another look at the ep online?

I think I know what's missing...

Character interaction. There hasn't been a lot of it this season.

I thought this episode was awesome and cute! Sawyer picking on Hugo (Hurley) again and he gets him back by saying "well, you're.. you're a red neck!" Was too funny! Way to go Hugo! We're still watching the same show.. thank God no one hasn't died yet!! I'm just glad Charlie and Hurley didn't get killed when they went down the hill in the van. Brought Hurley some hope and thats what they need on the island again. Hope.

I know it's been 3 years.. but we have found out a lot in the last 3 years. We will know soon enough more about the island and everything else that hasn't been answered yet towards the end of this season. I know it.

Hope Sawyer and Kate get back together again!! Sawyer seemed so sad when he sat alone by the shore drinking his beer.. he needed someone to yell at him and tell him to go after Kate!! He's so stubborn! lol

Not every episode is written with you in mind, there are many episodes that I hated like "Fire + Water", "Cost of Living" but many on this forum totally loved and I'm ok with that cuz I realize that the writers are writing for a diverse variety of people. We just had a jack episode last week many people hated it and I can guarantee that many people are looking forward to knowing more about the Eye Patch dude next episode, if you don't like an episode, cool, its natural, not every episode is going to please everyone I mean when you have episode like today's which are as funny as any comedy on tv and episodes like "Flashes Before Your Eyes" which would appeal to sci-fi fans. That is a such a broad spectrum that lost appeals to, Lost is like Battlestar Galactica, x files, grey's anatomy packed into one show, so if you don't like an episode leave it at that, don't start to spell doom and gloom about the show.

Ain't gonna happen, Father. Some of us may criticize LOST, but we're in it for the long haul. The LOST characters are like family members; they're really annoying (and downright stupid) at times, but because they're family members, you don't give up on them.

Which reminds me, what ever happened to Eko's Jesus stick? I don't think Eko had it when Smokey got him. Maybe it'll be found by Charlie, or Locke.

there was humor in this episode that made it redeeming. i think he misses the interaction of all the main characters while trying to work out a mystery. if it was a really hype episode we wouldn't be gaining access to the board so easily.

And the MODs get irked when posters don't read the rules about rudeness to other posters...

There are three threads set up for discussion of episodes. The "Loved it" "Didn't Like it" and "Rate this episode" (which is for debates).

The majority of these posts need to be in those sections. If you want to debate episode specifics...please do it in the appropriate threads. We don't need a fourth thread for this.
