Guessing he had more of a selection in prison than at home. Realistically, with all that TV viewing, Sawyer should've been wearing glasses since he was a kid. By now he should be wearing coca-cola bottle thick bifocals.

What I really want to know is how and why did his parents go from living in a trailer to having so much money that they attracted a major con artist? I always figured that their money was new money, but where did it come from? I doubt that they won the lottery too.

He may not have been living in a trailer with his parents. That may have been after his parents died because in Outlaws, the flashback of young Sawyer, that definitely wasn't a trailer. This may not be canon, but in the auditions on the Season 1 DVDs, Sawyer goes to live with an aunt, so perhaps that was when he lived in the trailer.

I doubt it, unless Sawyer was a Trekkie. TV/Movie Tie ins are a relatively new genre. When Sawyer was a kid, they didn't have anything like that except for those Star Trek tie-ins. Aside from Sulu, I don't recall Sawyer referring to Trek.

I think Melikon's recalling all those paperback books that were adapted from movies that were original screenplays (as they say in the Oscars). I read a ton of those when I couldn't see the movie or when I liked the movie so much I wanted more. Remember, before the days of VCR's, kids. :biggrin: (I'm not trying to imply anything about your age, Melikon :) )

Wasn't it mentioned by TPTB that we would learn how Sawyer comes up with all those nicknames? Could this be the Big Reveal? The way Big Mysteries have been hyped and fallen flat lately on Lost, this would go right along.
