Okay, this happened very quickly, but it appears Jin sticks a finger into one of Nikki's belt loops and pulls her backwards toward him. This is when Hurley is trying to recruit people to go with him to get the VW started. Why would Jin do that, especially with Sun right there watching him? Or was it someone else? Sorry, no Tivo.

Edit: I just rewatched the scene, it's Paulo. The hand just comes infront of Jin's body, but it's Paulo.

Are you guys sure it wasn't just Paulo?? I totally caught the belt loop tugging thing, but thought I saw Paulo do it and didn't really think anything of it.

But if the writers had Jin do it stealthily, so only a few people noticed... hmmmm perhaps he's getting his own little plot twist coming up shortly.... Jin, the pimp of the island!

Paulo is wearing a light blue shirt with the number 52 on it. Jin is wearing a purple polo. I have the shot freeze framed on my TV right now. It's Jin. You can see his face, a full torso shot of Jin in his purple shirt, as he pulls her back.

Just watched it again, and it's definitely Paulo. At first glance it looks like Jin (due to deceptive perspective, and the fact that Paulo's body is out of shot) but his arms remain by his side throughout.

I'm telling you, it's Jin! I'm not making this up, lol. Watch it again in slo-mo. It. Is. Jin.

Just rewatched over and over. The main way you can tell it is Paulo is the tan, lol. But if you look carefully in slow motion, you see Jin's arm down and (it must be) Paulo's arm (coming from the right of Jin) reaching out and pulling Nicki back by her belt loop.

Jin's a pretty traditional guy, and I doubt that culturally he'd be comfortable pulling Nikki (a woman not his wife) back by her waist.

As much as I detest Pikki, it's just nice to see a couple comfortable & casual enough to do that gesture. Claire & Charlie have Issues. Kate & Sawyer have Issues. Kate & Jack have Issues. Jin & Sun...well they're getting there. Rose would smack Bernard if he did that, lol.

It's sad really, because they are good characters, but you can't really fault anyone for it. Though it is sad that they've been left out because of "practical" reasons such as... the actors not being able to be in two places at once.

As for Paulo grabbing Nikki, it seems weird but I think it lends something to his character development. He is overbearing and controlling sort of the way Jin was in the beginning.

yeh i had to rewind that as well. AFter a few passes i noticed that Jin's arm was down and someone else's hand was extended to her. Its just a matter of blocking that didnt translate well for the camera. I remember thinking what a hound dog Jin must be but it clearly was not him. Another question...how the heck do those pants stay on. I mean when Paolo pulled her away, it looked like her jeans expanded for like 10 inches...I am sure that the character would have lost weight but man those were some really misfitted jeans.
