Looks like there's something to this "alternate timeline" thing. James hasn't got a clue as to who Nikki is, but Hurley knows. But the purple sky came 67 days in. So even if Pikki was inserted into the crash timeline at that point, they were still around for the previous 67 days. So why doesn't James know her? I are confused! :wacko:

did anyone catch the name of the old guy Nikki was with? I think Paulo and Nikki were killed because they failed to deliver something to the island. Jacob's list perhaps? Apparently when the plane crashed the bag she had was lost or someone else took it. I think that whatever was in there was what Nikki was saying Paulo lied about...

Would they have recreated the crash scene from the pilot just to stick her in there? Or at least parts of it...

Considering I didn't like either of them, I'm not real broken up over their deaths.

Actually, James is using some pretty good deductive skills there. He knew about water poisoning from experience (the Sun/Kate water bottle ploy). And he recognized the walkie-talkie immediately. It all makes so much sense now...and yet, no sense at all.

Just that Ben seems pretty mobile for someone so far gone - I assumed he got into Rousseau's trap with help, but no way could Juliet have hauled him across the island herself.

This episode gets better and better every minute!

I'm willing to bet that the Others gave Nikki and Paulo the same device that they put in the rabbit ( and tricked Sawyer into believing they had done it to him too) and it looked like it was dead, but really not.

This epi is by far GREAT - I just read a post that they have the flashback thing down - so RIGHT - I love how they change it up - the flashbacks occur in different ways and never get boring!

They could do another series on flashbacks from other angles from what we have seen forever!

I am beginning to think N/P were not working with the Others after all. Paulo is Boone, Nikki is Shannon, Ben is Locke... everyone has a twin so to speak.
