This episode was ridiculously awesome. Very densely packed, great writing, and great direction. Loved every minute of it.

Pretty cool the way everything fit into place with what had happened in the previous seasons. But no way is this better than the Other 48 Days.

Are you kidding me? This was way better than The Other 48 Days! So many good things about this episode: Sawyer always asking who the hell were Nikki and Paolo, seeing Boone, Shannon and Dr.Artz again, Paolo being dense on purpose because he hid the diamonds in the hatch bathroom, Nikki and Paolo finding the plane before everybody else, all the flashbacks to season 1, Charlie becoming clean to Sun about his and Sawyer's part in her kidnapping, Sun punching Sawyer but also telling him that she won't tell Jin because then, they'd have to dig a grave for Sawyer and the ending, my God, Paolo and Nikki ending up being buried alive.

That was one of the best hours of television i have ever seen! Way better than The Other 48 days - and this had quite a dark ending. Loved it!

THAT - WAS - GREAT!!
Wicked FUN-NY!!!!
Author!!! Author!!!!!

Loved all the Fan References:

Nicki about Boone and Shannon - "I hope we don't end up like them"!!

Loved how Sawyer continued to say, "Who the H-E-double- hockey -sticks is Nicki"??

Really great epi! So, if they are buried alive - does this mean we will "see them again"?!? OOOOOOHHHHH NOOOOOOOO!!!!! PICKI WILL NEVER DIIIIIIIIIE!!! LOL!!!

One of the best, most fun episodes ever. Jam packed with inside jokes. Just loved it.

I really liked it -creepy, but Pikki got what they deserved. I thought it was pretty cool how Pikki saw the plane, the hatch.......everything first. Interesting that Sun really blames Sawyer - she understands Charlie, but she's really furious with Sawyer. I like that guy, but he deserved (to say the least) a good slap.

I guess Pikki are iconic because they were buried alive - a pretty gruesome ending in a series that likes gruesome endings. I loved seeing Dr. Arzt again.......poor Leslie!

I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of hate on this episode from fans simply because it's Nikki and Paulo, but I think this is definetly one of the better episodes of this season. It certainly is above I Do and Stranger, that's for sure.

I loved seeing Shannon again, she's one of my favorites on the show, or was at least (sadly.) Seeing Boone and Arzt again was great too, Ethan also, but he's always around it seems.

Charlie gets points from me for coming clean about attacking Sun, though I still don't personally care for him all that much. Also, I loved seeing sweet little Sun give Sawyer his comeuppance.

I'm probably going to be in the minority here and say I wish at least Nikki lived, but I guess I'm fine with this. Unless they do something like out of an Italian horror film and show Nikki clawing her way out of the grave. :)

I can see why some people might be disappointed with this episode as it sorta disrupts the flow and momentum of the past few episodes, but I thought it was great! It was sort of a lighter episode that was a lot of fun. I loved seeing Shannon and Boone (miss them!) and Arzt again, and I thought it was really interesting to see the first two seasons from a minor character's pov. And I really liked reliving Season One as I love Season one.

But I thought the best part was the scene with Ben and Juliet in the Pearl. Really cool stuff. I especially liked how that - and Paolo with the toilet - helps further explain and improve the mini-arc a bit. Those first six episodes at least seem a little more planned out and thought through now.

And the ending was crazy! I was afraid they're were going to chicken out and have Nikki and Paolo wake up and be okay, so I was surprised to see it turn out the way it did. Looking forward to next week!

I thought it was great as well, especially the inside jokes, right from the beginning when Nikki was talking to the director about guest appearances and such!

Inside jokes, Boone asking for a Pen, everything.

When it first started with Nikki and Paulo w/ the diamonds I was sketchy, but it got better and better and better. Perfect way to take two totally unliked characters and showcase them in a flashback.

And the end was awesome.

But people hate nikki and paulo and i'm sure that's all the haters will care about. "It was a waste of time", etc. Whatever. It was *VERY* entertaining.

Good EP. Nice ending with the eyes opening as the sand covered them up, a fear that almost everyone has of waking up buried alive.

Tied up the Nikki and Paulo story. Now who's next???

I don't know where it fits in the larger mythology, or if it does it at all, but I just enjoyed the heck out of this episode, and I was thoroughly spoiled for it, too. The ending was just beyond creepy-scary. And I loved seeing our Losties working together to solve a puzzle. This is what we never see them do, yet tonight they were all CSI. We've had some very heavy mythology episodes recently, and this was a nice change of pace. I can't believe I actually felt bad for Paolo at the end.

I thought this was a delightfully twisted episode. Expose was a busy little episode, which included a trip down Lost memory lane. It was fun seeing the crash scene again (how odd it seems to have enjoyed a repeat viewing of the aftermath of a plane crash). Shannon screaming. Boone frantically looking for a pen. Locke yelling at turbine guy. Good stuff.

Another poster mentioned an Edgar Allen Poe touch to the plot, and it clicked with me. He would have gotten a chuckle out of this episode. Poisoners who wind up getting an even worse taste of their own medicine, so to speak.

As it was jam-packed with little goodies (inside jokes, ironic statements), it would be tedious to list all the little things I liked about this episode. It was great seeing a lot of the characters reprising their roles from the first and second seasons. Terry O'Quinn seemed to capture the flavor of Season 1 Locke pretty well--Locke was, well, different way back when.

I wonder if the Charlie confession and Sawyer confrontation is as far as the writers will go with that story. Charlie did the only decent thing he could by informing Sun about the kidnapping. Sun seemed to hold Sawyer more responsible, as she knows he took advantage of an angry and weak-minded Charlie. At least Charlie had the nerve to confess to his crime, thus relieving Sun of any lingering fears that she was a target of the Others (although, I doubt the Others are enamored with her).

All in all, a very satisfying episode. I would say light-hearted, only because I was smiling most of the episode. Using light-hearted to describe this episode reflects that part of me that really appreciates a twisted, Poe story. I appreciate this episode.

Great episode. I actually thought Nikki and Paulo did a great job acting, especially Nikki (and she was smokin' hot  ). Plus it doesn't hurt getting different perspectives from earlier footage of season one. It's a shame they had to get buried alive.

Gotta say that this was a much better eppy than I expected--or read about in spoilers (which were quite accurate, I might add).

The irony was, of course, that the diamonds are of ZERO value on the Island, yet both were going to any length to retrieve them. The further irony is the way "fate" turned that on them. You could say that they really "bit it." :D

I think the only ones complaining thought the ep was "filler," but I love eps like this.

What a wonderfully terrible to the end of them, and I thought they did a good job, uh, proving that they've been there this whole time.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this, but this episode reminded me a lot of a Star Trek: The Next Generation episode called "Lower Decks," which showed daily life on the Enterprise from the perspective of a bunch of low-ranking officers who were never seen again. It showed the main characters from a different angle because you were seeing them as the superiors of the low-ranking officers. I think it was a cool experiment for s single episode, and that combined with some new information on the Pearl and guest appearances by Arzt, Ethan, Shannon and Boone made it a successful episode.

I loved the episode.

I loved the bit with Paulo's shoe in the tree, and Hurley wondering how it got there, and we see how it does at the end.

I know there was always speculation about a shoe that was in the tree in the first scene of the first episode of Lost, I think it was another cool inside joke for us diehard fans.

What can I say, I liked it. :) I loved seeing old characters and old scenes from a new point of view. I don't mind taking a break from the mythology and seeing regular island life now and them. Although the island life is rarely just regular.

Bwahaha! I loved it. I loved the whole tongue-in-cheekiness of it. From the moment that Nikki died I was puzzled. We had only seen one flashback from her perspective, and I was wondering if the whole rest of the episode would be from Paulo's perspective. Upon learning that Paulo was already dead, I was more confused than ever. Now from whose perspective were all of these flashbacks coming?! My jaw dropped when I realized they were both alive.:24: Had they been more sympathetic characters, I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it this much. Oh, and all the dead characters coming back in this episode...priceless. I also wasn't overly spoiled, and I think that may have made this episode for me.

Okay, now posting here. I posted what I didn't like in the other thread, now here's what I loved:

Silliness! It was just plain fun and silly.

Loved our beachies trying to solve a mystery as they dig the graves. Love the irony of the fact that they were buried alive because their only doctor was taken by the others--something that wouldn't have happened if Paulo had said something about what he heard in the Pearl. It'll come back around Paulo.

Loved Charlie's confession to Sun. Loved Desmond and Hurley's remark that his superpower is pretty lame.

This was just a fun, ridiculous episode and I kept praying they wouldn't figure out they were alive. I'm glad they're gone, hated them, they turned out to be just as horrible as we imagined and it was a fun way to be rid of them both.

Shannon. Boone. Heck yes I loved it. I loved seeing Arzt again too, glad he got some screentime in there.
I thought this episode was pure fun, but what a horrible way to die, ugh. I still think there might be more to this whole Pikki story before the end of Lost.

Great epi!! :) I loved the blend of the Pilot with this episode! Fantastic work!
Nikki was a surprise to me. She was a lot more evil than I thought she would be and Paolo was a little smarter than I thought but not much. I was astounded that he was able to keep from getting caught as long as he did and the fact that he heard the kidnap plot as well as knowing about at least one hatch before anyone on the beach had an idea there was one was mind blowing! It seems they both got what they deserved - Nikki more than Paolo, I guess. The burial scene was haunting, that's for sure.
One of the things I like best about this episode besides getting to see Pikki's story and Boone & Shannon and Dr. Arzt is it showed that Sawyer has grown as a person. You could tell before Sun busted him that he felt bad about what he had had Charlie do. I'm also glad that Sun smacked him in the face! Way to go, Sun!!
All in all, things are looking way up on Lost and I can't wait until next week! (Then again, I say that every week...)

I loved this eppy. It was entertaining, the flashbacks were hilarious (seeing them turn into the Boone/Shannon couple they didn't want to turn into) and the ending was sad. I had a dream about being buried alive last night. *shiver* Great *new* way to kill someone off.

Didn't Love the flashbacks, but they weren''t awful. I had the feeling that I wasn't going to like it when the show started out with stupid nikki dancing as a stripper!! It progressively got better though. I can't stand Nikki and am so glad she's gone, didn't feel any sympathy for her but for Paolo i actually feel sorry for him. He was no angel of course, he had a hand in killing a man plus he hid the diamonds from Nikki for whatever reason. I don't necessarily believe his story he told her. If you want to get rid of the diamonds so they won't come between you then perhaps maybe get rid of them like throw them in the ocean. I don't know, just one idea! The last 20 minutes of the show were the best obviously. The first 40, I was just waiting for something good to happen.

this was a great epi.. very excited about rewatching tonight after work.
never understood the negative talk against these two, but clearly it was enough for the producers to go this far. How horrible to be buried like that.. right as you were waking up.. and no one knows. Did Vincent try to tell them?
I give this a 15 out of 10! only weakness was Sun with Sawyer and Charlie.. Sawyer deserved more than just slap in the face.
right now this show is the best of the shows given this season.. wow..

I thought this epi was cool. a bit like the old Twilight Zone episode. The writers were doing a bit of spring cleaning! It is nice to see them going back and tying up loose ends (Charlie/Sun, Nikki/Paolo). Its like by gradually getting rid of extraneous plotlines, Lost can get leaner and meaner and focus on the important plots. All the fan shout-outs were interesting as well. at least there don't have to be 50 threads about how much Nikki & Paolo suck anymore!

I can't quite say that I loved this episode, but I did like it. I was definitely reassured that I had reason to dislike Nikki (I can't believe she can be so bossy to Paulo), and it made me like Paulo a little more, even though he sort of messed up in the past. It was kind of weird showing them during island scenes for the flashbacks; I don't know if I like that yet or not. But I did like seeing Boone and Shannon again! Boone was my favorite character, we must bring him back on the show a lot more. :)

This week, I have to post in the loved it and didn't love it threads because I'm pretty much equal on both sides. The part I liked about it was the obvious nods to various things fans have questioned. While I thought the whole thing was just fluffy filler done from previously seen scenes, it was enjoyable. I also loved that those 2 characters are hopefully gone now -- and will stay far under the sand.

"And now for something completely different..."

As much as I wanted to hate this eppy, I have to admit I was blown away by it's coolness. There was no story progression, no meaningful character development, and no WTF cliffhanger. That said, I feel like TPTB paid me $10, had their way with me in a darkened alley, and made me love it all the while. Half the dialogue was directed towards us! If there's anything more I love than Isle-Mythos, it's meta-refs:)

BTW, I think the mythological question answered is why the island makes anyone from Brazil take a **** so often.

I loved it...maybe because I've been saying since season 1, that they should do an episode centered on one of the other survivors. They were close to 50 survivors. And each one of them appears to have a dark secret.

Loved it so much that I think they should do another one down the line.

I agree. There was no story progression, but it was so good to see the Losties actually doing some problem-solving together for a change! There didn't seem to be anything ambiguous that I could tell...it seemed fairly black-and-white, so it flowed really well. The writers did a good job of tying in the flashback scene involving the hatch to the present situation with Nikki and Paulo.

It was nice to see Charlie admit his involvement in the kidnapping to Sun, and that he apologised, too, but she didn't seem to hear it. Sawyer almost seemed apologetic, too.

Too bad that the Losties didn't check for a pulse to see if Nikki and Paulo were really dead. If Jack were there, he probably would have done so.

Rose, Artz, Bernard and Libby show up, everybody loves 'em. Even Ethan. And Ben. Paolo and Nikki show up and everybody hates 'em and wishes they were gone. What the frelling frack? Now the complainers get their wish and they're all back complaining that Nikki and Paolo got killed off just as we were finding something out about them. Make up your minds people! I for one, liked Nikki and Paolo right from the start and accepted them like I accepted Artz and Libby, among others. I was very sorry to see them go, but I liked the whole Dolan's Caddilac-esque angle of the story. Very Stephen King. The Island didn't judge them, they were allowed to judge themselves. It would ruin the "moral" of the story if they get saved. Sadly, we hardly new ye.

This episode boasted everything I love about Lost. I really enjoyed seeing all the characters together, the mystery, the suspense, the mythology, the inside jokes. Although there may not have been a clear story progression, I felt there was a solid character progression. They are changing and adapting...and I'm still loving every minute of it.

I enjoyed the episode a lot. It's a shame that they handled the introduction of Paulo and Nikki so clumsily, as I feel that they had the potential to become decent characters. I'm going against popular opinion here, but I feel that Nikki could have become one of the stronger female personalities on the island.

Ebdim9th
03-29-2007, 03:08 PM
Mellon Collie~ I agree about Nikki. It proves once again that Carlton Damon and Co, don't make mistakes when they cast actors, even background players. The actress who played Nikki proved that she was yet another strong choice and could have eventually held her own with any combination of the other actors on LOST.

And Artz with his "the pigs are walking, The pigs are walking!!!!" was just hysterical. I can't remember if that was a reference to Animal Farm or Lord of the Flies, though.

annieone
03-29-2007, 03:24 PM
It's Animal Farm...
I also like it a lot. Although there was almost no forward movement of the plot, it was an excelent stand alone eppi. Great rythm, writting, direction and action.

Ebdim9th
03-29-2007, 03:39 PM
Animal Farm it is... It is rather prescient btw that I was reading Bad Twin at this point. Just in time for a LOST murder mystery. Sweet. Some of the audience may choose to stop tuning in due to the lack of stan-alone episodes. So between Expose and Tricia Tanaka is Dead it might help that group stick around awhile.

I wonder when Pikki are gonna return all those avatars they took off the board.

This was by far the second best episode of the season. The majority of this season has been lackluster with a few real gems in it, this included. To start off I'll say I went into this episode absolutely hoping that Nikki and Paulo would get the boot however over the course of one episode I found myself just as attached to them as I am to any A list member of the show. I think it was in part to them being put into the original flashbacks, it gave them a sense of familiarity and then the cherry on top was finding that they discovered some the the Islands biggest secrets before anybody else did.

The way the episode was done was in a pretty favorable style, very "3 minutes esque", you start off thinking Nikki's an actress, then we go on to learn that she was involved in the murder of an old man for diamonds, your opinion of her lowers. Then as the episode progresses you find that they only did those terrible things because they love each other.

I also loved the way the diamonds seemingly tore Nikki and Paulo apart(eventually leading to their gruesome death)

I loved this episode, it got me attached to two characters who I at first hated and then it snatched them away from me in a way that makes me feel more sorry for them then anything.

This episode was a step in the right direction, for the show. We don't need gigantic anwsers every week, because when we get answers every week they lose their value. When was the last time this show had a moment thats rivaled "Tabula Rasa", the combination of Boone's death and Locke crying on the hatch was beautiful. Since then the only time I've really been impressed with the show has been through the death of a beloved character.( With the exception of Eko his episode was poorly done.) Probably the best moment last season was when Micheal killed Libby and Ana Lucia, it was shocking, but you kept thinking to yourself, " Micheal's a good guy, there has to be a reason."

Either way this episode gave me everything I've come to love in this show, it made me like two characters over the course of an hour and then took them away from me in an extremely shocking manor. One's things for sure after the peiosde was over I had suddenly found myself missing Paulo and Nikki like I had finally appreciated Shannon after she had died, and seeing as how this was only over the course of 40 minutes, i'd say that's no small feat.

Yeah, I gotta say that I really liked this episode.

I think TPTB accomplished two things:

1) They showed us that even characters that we never see (yes, we did see Nikki and Paulo this season and Dr. Arzt in season one) got a lot going on. They also proved a nice point: that we follow specific characters for specifics reasons. Nikki and Paulo had a whole mystery/intrigue thing going on, but it wasn't necessary to the overall plot of the story.

2) That said, by following Nikki and Paulo's story, we were able to see certain things that most episodes pass over. Yes, it turns out that our castaways do discuss things that happen, like when Shannon was questioning Kate about the case. (Awesome by the way!) And, yes, Ben did need Jack to perform surgery before he was captured. In fact, it kinda sounds like that's what he hoped for, right?

Anyway, loved 'Expose'. Every minute of it!

Nice touch writing and directing the episode to reflect the kind of show Nikki guessed starred on. Speaking of which, I liked how she pointed out that all guest stars get killed. Nice touch.

I havent posted in quite some time, but last night's episode was amazing. Probably up there in my top five. I mean, I really hated the first time I saw these characters, and I truly thought the writers messed up, but WOW! From the very beginning of the episode when Sawyer said, "Who the hell is Nikki?" from the ending where they get buried alive...absolutely impressive. Good job. This is turning out to be a great season. I was worried after the first six episodes, but I will never doubt these dudes again.

Excellent episode. It had a great vibe - some sort of mix between a S.King short story, Twilight Zone episode, and 19th Century gothic horror/sci-fi story. The meta-fiction was fun and so was the "inside" content directed at the Lost fanatics. I found the pre-flight bratty emasculating Shannon and the wimpy loser Boone appearance over-the-top and uncomfortable but it worked well as part of the story. The scene in the Pearl with Ben and Juliet was a tantalizing exchange that produces more questions than it answers. Then there is Leslie Arzt. I love Arzt - the first and greatest wink the writers have ever sent our way. Arzt always gets a great line and when he started shouting "The pigs are walking" I almost fell out of my chair laughing. On top of that, Charlie confesses about what he and Sawyer did to Sun which tied up an old loose end - at least partially. I thought the ending was creepy but also great fun - a nice homage to Lost's gothic horror/mystery progenitors.

i thought it was a brilliant episode, full of irony and little touches that, to someone who has rewatched the seasons a few times, were really gratifying.

they told a great story whilst giving us a few key insights and answers.

I thought Nikki and Paulo were great in it, given their chance, they were great as characters and actors.
people should have more faith in TPTB.

I really enjoyed this episode, I love the way that it fitted into the previous seasons, I thought it was a great bit of direction, writing and acting. OMG NIkki and Paulo being buried alive, and OMG Nikki openingher eyes as she was being buried!!! Is this the end of Pikki???

This was Lost at its best - it's about the characters and their motivations and secrets.
I think the episode was also brilliantly written and very well directed - i enjoyed every single minute of it. It had a great sense of humour, a tragic love story, action and great interconnections during the episode.

I can't go so far as to say I loved it... but I am closer to loving than to hating this one!

Pretty much my only complaint(or question) is why give us two new characters,
and then only show them in the eppy where you kill them in a particularly horrid
fashion?

Lots of funny stuff, closure on the Sun kidnapping, a delightful Desmond scene,
and a yummy John scene-- I think this one was pretty good.

I kinda wish we would get more of Nikki and Paolo now. They were starting
to be interesting and then *POOF* they were gone.

Immediately after watching this ep, I had to go re-read Edgar Allen Poe's "Cask of Amontillado," and was chuckling at the similarities. It also really reminded me of one of those old Rod Serling "Twilight Zone" episodes - the ones that weren't sentimental; didn't pull any punches, and the karma points were really distributed in creepy ways.

I also liked the episodes's "self-contained" style. We saw P&N's flashbacks, and their demise all in the same ep. Unless they get resurrected as zombies or something, I'd say we had a rare experience of *closure* here...

Absolutely loved this episode. Lots of things and peoples' motivations were exposed, as the title 'Exposé' already indicates. Genius writing.
I also like how Sawyers character changes when these two writers are in charge. Not only in this episode, but we saw that happening earlier in 'Tricia Tanaka'. Absolutely admirable !

While I cannot honestly say I loved this episode, I did enjoy the 'Whodunnit' factor. The kind of Clue-ishness murder mystery of the whole thing. I also liked how they used these two characters to kind of draw together previous stories, and things left hanging.

You know what? I think you have exactly described a good measure of this episode's appeal - "self-contained". Great observation.

Loved it! After a lull in the season, the episodes are getting better and better.

I loved the irony throughout. If Nikki hadn't ran back to the beach she and Paulo wouldn't have been found so fast, so wouldn't have been buried so fast, and would have survived!

Seems like karma is all-powerful on this island. :hypocrit:

I loved this episode. I think it did one of the things that LOST does best, and that is showing events that already happened from a different point of view. All the haters of Nikki and Paulo are truly baffling to me. "I hate the way they introduced them", "there's no point to them", "why do they get a flashback,". I personally like seeing other survivors from the background. We all know they are there. Why can't they come into the forefront? For those who hate the way they were introduced, I'm also baffled. They have to be introduced SOMEHOW, so what's the problem? I thought their story was brilliantly written. And all the people who feel "ripped off" because they put them in scenes from season 1 and 2, get over it! It was genius.

Oh, and if I hear one more "that episode is where LOST jumped the shark", I will seriously go carnival freak crazy on someone.

It was a good episode and I found that after reading all of the "Loved it" comments, I liked it more than I realized!

Several people commented that Nikki and Paulo were dead and buried. But don't forget Locke's comment to Paulo on the beach:

"Things don't stay buried on this island. The beach is eroding. Winter's coming, high tide. Whatever it is you're hiding, make sure you pick a spot that won't wash away. See ya back at camp."

Also, the preview for Expose declared, "...when the truth comes out, someone ends up dead." Notice it didn't say "people end up dead." Could this mean that either Nikki or Paulo somehow live?

Great catch!

Perhaps Nikki survives, there had to be some significance to her opening her eyes, well other then to make the moment more dramatic and haunting.

Then again the promos are always misleading.

I'm pretty sure they just wanted to let us know they were alive before they buried them. It was for the 65% that don't get it unless it is expressly shown on-screen.

One of my favs so far. Very much in the spirit of the first season. And nikki is pretty foxy....how Sawyer never noticed her much I'll never know. Great to see Billy Dee Williams in it too. And I'm pretty convinced it was layered with clues.

Yep, I loved it to. It was a good stand alone episode, but added to the story as well.
The standalone portion was so strong. It reminded me of how the X-Files could have an episode independent of the mythology/overall story. The dark humor/shocking end was great.

It was nice to have an episode that didn't hinge on the overall story. It didn't leave me with a lot of questions, but gave a little more insight on how things work around there.

I'd definitely rate it as one of the better episodes yet, certainly miles better than 'Jacks Awful adventures in Thailand ' a few weeks back, which was in my view a nadir for the series so far.

It's going to be very interesting to see how the unexplained deaths of N&P resonate throughout the rest of the season with the surviving Losties. Given the apathy, childishness and outright vehemence of some of the hating that has gone on, I genuinely hope that the writers really pull out all the stops to weave their deaths into the core fabric of future episodes.

LOST just gets beter and better. This was an exelent episode. I thought that it was haunting and creepy when they were buried alive. Then I remembered that Locke said nothing stays buried on the Island and I thought that was an interesting comment?

1) Two pointless and tacked on people in the LOST world are gone.

What a great eposide,I was on the edge of the seat the whole time
especially cringing with the spiders.

This eposide reminds me of the great tv show Alfred Hitchcock Presents
(which I have season 1 and 2 on dvd)

Im glad that the Lost creators dont just keep going with the same thread each week, they throw out the single episode once in awhile. gives everyone a chance for a breather.

Maybe Nikki and Paulo will be rescued by vincent?
If not, serves Nikki right killing that producer off for his diamonds, and he actually truely loved her!
I think the only reason nikki was still with paulo on the island was because of the diamonds, and the only reason paulo got his just deserts was because of lust for nikki, wanting her so bad he would kill for her.

I was just amazed at the beach scene. Kudos for the tech crew however they did it . Good way to deal with Nikki and Paulo though because they really didn't belong. The buried alive thing has me creeped out. I hope they don't pull a Kill Bill and dig their way out and show up next season with the others.

I have to say I really loved this episode.

I have to say I think it's quite funny when Lost gets self-referential. The Nikki/Paulo comparison with Shannon/Boone. The 'Who are you?' gag although granted it became a bit too over the top by the end. The 'guest stars always die' joke. Kate's two boyfriends and so on.

I loved the creativeness of how they tried to stick Nikki and Paulo into established scenes. The crash scene; Nikki among the debris while it cut into clips with Locke and the engine explosion guy and Jack and Claire. I thought it was very well done. Then Jack's speech and clips of Nikki and Paulo there watching. Of course it got a bit outrageous to find out that Nikki and Paulo discovered just about everything on the island. But if you overlook all that stuff I think it was a great ep to be honest.

And even though I'm a complete spoiler junkie and I knew the ending before it happened, I still found it disturbing.

After the absolute excellence that was The Man From Tallahassee I wasn't expecting a great episode to follow it at all, and so I was very pleasantly surprised with Expose. I don't think it advanced any of the major plots currently going on, but my gosh it was entertaining!

I loved the appearances of past characters, especially the brilliant Arzt! I never thought we'd be seeing him again, so that was great. There was a load of great one liners throughout, and even though it was only one scene Locke was as brilliant as ever!
I thought it was pretty brave to show N&P meet their maker in the way they did but I just love how dark Lost can be at times, especially when contrasted with the light hearted and comical aspects the show does equally as well.

I loved seeing Dr. Arzt again. Missed him and liked what I saw. It was fascinating. Filled in some missing gaps with the sideline cast. Good stuff. Some people will hate it, but I liked it. Surprisingly.

Brilliant. Well written and AMAAAAZING twist at the end. You guys are jedi master story tellers. Great way to ,recap and tie up a side tale within the major plot. Also a perfect way to catch your breath (or lose it) from the general drama. I don't get all the negative chatter. (Talk about missing the fun) I think you guys should actually bring a couple more side stories from other survivors to give us viewers a chance to break away from time to time and see what some non central characters have been up to all this time. Obviously not using the same approach of seeing everything all over again but perhaps simply seeing or hearing past major events of the central losties in the background.

just a thought, In any case. GREAT great work. Hats off and congratz.
You guys just keep topping each other episode after episode and keeping
me glued.

All the best;

Maybe a camera can show their grave periodically, with a mysterious Carlton-esque voice speaking over it "Paolo and Nikki... still dead" (And I actually like those characters, but plot is plot, and the story is supreme, all characters, like in the Stand, or poor little Tad in Cujo, the book, are expendable)
