In earlier episodes Claire mentioned that her father sang the song "Catch a falling star" to her as a child. She also requestiod the couple that were potentially going to adopt her baby to sing it to him (on a daily basis?) It was also the music for the airplane baby mobile in the Other's nursery,

My question is - how did she know it was this song? Christian only told Claire he sang to her, which Claire responded to with a look of amusement. For a second I actually expected to break out singing it to her on the spot. She obviously couldn't ask her mom about what he used to sing to her. So anyone have any ideas? Am I missing something?

I don't think it really means anything, but it bugged me that they didn't mention the song.

Perhaps she remembered?
Her mother said her father "died" when she was two, so perhaps her mother did confirm her recollection of the song.

I think that she knew right away what song he meant, so there was no reason to ask what it was. Her mom might have sang it to her after her dad left, if she liked it that well, and told her about it when she was older.

I appreciated that Christian ADMITTED that his relationship with Claire's mom was "a fling." None of this "beautiful moment that could never blossom" crap. And that "go back to your REAL family" stung him hard--as it should've!

But, yeah, some people really CAN recall moments from their earliest childhood. Claire was one of these. Infant Claire must've really liked that song!!

that's exactly what I was thinking...very much like the Sawyer/Jack/redsox thing.

Claire could very easily know her dad's name. She said at the time that she didn't want to see him again, but that could really easily change. They may have met up after this last flashback.

I wonder if the others know about Claire and Jack being half brother and sister? maybe it'll come out soon?
