In FBYE, Desmond told Charlie he was gonna die and something along the lines that no matter what he does, he's sorry, but he can't save him. I guess he's decided to try to save Charlie after all, huh?

That was something poignant in the scene in "Flashes" when the red shoes guy bit it. The female character knew it was going to happen and didn't try to stop it. Des is not ready to give in to that type of shoulder-shrugging hopeless acceptance. Poor lad is going to drive himself crazy.

Thank God for that! ;) Hopefully the universe will right itself again soon so Desmond won't have to do this forever. I'd like to see Charlie do something to change his own fate. He's always been a very passive actor, reacting to everything that happens to him. I'd like to see him take charge of his own life and choose his own path for once. That might be what breaks it. He has to save himself.
