Did Nikki open a salon on the beach? Do they heat the curling iron with hot rocks? Are they sacking whales and making sick amounts of make-up? Cuz man, Claire suddenly looks like she's ready to take a glide down the catwalk.

Wow.

Anyone else notice she's looking a bit too glam for gulls these days? It actually really bothers me. She's pretty smokin with black hair against those blue eyes in her flashback, but I thought she was plenty cute with her previous girl-next-door appeal on the Island.

This better not be an American thing. I'd be embarrassed.

Way too funny. I have been saying the same thing since I first saw her with bangs afew weeks back.

You'd think because its so obvious, they would have somehow worked a haircut cut scene into the background or something.

Thank god I am not the only one who noticed this

yes, this same thing troubled me as well. Well, I don't know if it actually TROUBLED me, but it seems odd. I can't see why the producers would allow this. Claire was WAY hotter with her goth look BTW

Claire does look way cleaner and glammed up than everyone else. Perhaps because she has so much time with a baby on an island!!! She has time to make herself up!
I didn't like the black hair in the flashbacks. Much better as a blonde.

eh. big deal. she found a bottle of mascara in shannon's bags and had sun cut some bangs. does that really need to be shown? where's the mystery?

She looks great- period. No complaints from me!

This isn't really a new developement. She's looked salon-fresh since early season two.

I actually think her current hairstyle is a little more believable than the clean wavy blow-dried lots-of-product hair she used to have.

They cant expect actors to look exactly the same for 3 + years.

Its a TV program and little things like this will happen.

Yes, if there's one thing newborns and infants give you it's endless amounts of time for selfish pursuits! :biglaugh:

That said, Claire's tummy was perfectly flat days after giving birth. I don't think they're going for realism with Claire.

I'm sure that all the female passengers had carry-on make-up. What I'm a little more curious about is why haven't any of the women gone amazon for the last 2 months? Do we have an endless supply of razors? I'm sure it's a viewer comfortability issue, but I'd think we'd be looking at some heavy pit forests by now.

as an aside, my wife lost her stomach in six weeks after our second child from doing exercise (pushing a stroller 3-5 miles a day) and eating very carefully. Everyone was totally amazed, but... she was motivated.

Presumably Claire is eating sparsely, exercising massively, and giving half of her nutrients to Aaron.

I guess she was, Don! Great job on her part!

No way someone's uterus is going to naturally contract back to prepregnancy status in 3-4 days, though. It's not a weight thing, it's a muscle and ligament thing.

Claire's bangs?!? What about the fact that Sun's hair is 10" longer than it was in Season 1 and only "2 1/2 months" have passed!! The TPTB pay such close attention to detail that this one has bothered me since the season began. Has anyone else noticed this? I haven't seen anyone really comment. I don't think it's too much to require the actor to keep their look kind of similar to the beginning of the show. Look at the cast of 24, their looks are kept EXACTLY the same for an entire season.

I agree. It doesn't bother me all that much but it is slightly annoying when Claire gives birth and is immediately skinny the next day again, then gets bangs out of absolutely nowhere. Only slightly unrealistic but whatever, it's Lost.

I also find it pretty funny that Sun has lost nearly ALL traces of her accent in this time as well.

I love this. SHE LOSES HAIR OUT OF NOWHERE. Impossible!

maybe the island caused Claire's uterus to contract faster...would that fall into the category of island healing?

btw, isn't Sun pregnant? if i'm not mistaken, she should be showing by now.

Well, sure. If you stretched out a muscle over 9 months until it was paper thin, then stopped stretching it and, instead of letting it normally contract back into shape (which the uterus will do over a period of about 6-8 weeks), you contracted it to its original shape 10-20 times faster then I think that would hurt a lot.

contractions = pain, i'll remember that.....so i guess that doesn't explain claire's seemingly overnight flat tummy...well i tried.:rolleyes:

Actually , Tony's beard was inconsistant in the first season. Just a nitpick.
