I'm a little 'lost' haha. And sleep-deprived, so please don't kill me!
But Kate left Jack on the other island, they rowed over with Karl. Yes? Then she and Locke and Sayid wandered in the jungle to find Jack.

When did they cross over to the other island??? If they never did go to the other island, WHY would Kate be looking for Jack on their own island? That's not where she left him, that's not a reasonable place to look for him.

Why?

Because from Karl they found out the others don't live on that small island. So they assumed that they would be taking Jack back to where they live, and not keeping him on the small island.

The episode that Kate and Sawyer escaped, it ended by Ben saying it was time to go home. He was afraid that our beach friends would come back looking for Jack.

The Barracks location is on the same island that the Losties crashed on/are currently surviving on. The Hydra station is on the second island.

I think if you watch the conversation it's something like:
1. Kate wants to go get Jack. She knows that the Others live on this island.
Locke and Sayid want to follow the directions on Eko’s stick. I can review the dialog, but when they went to Otherville I don’t think there was an expectation that they’d find Jack there. I know I wasn’t sure if Jack was going to be there or if Ben and Co were off on a different ship that seemed to appear on the horizon in… I forget, Stranger in a Strange Land. So I didn't expect them to find Jack and I don't think they did either.

Yeah I was a little confused on that at first too. But then I realized when Kate found out the others were on her island she was going to go there to force someone to take her to him. I was't sure if Jack would be there yet or still on the boat on his way there, and I agree that Kate and the others didn't expect to see him there.

yeh basically her rescue plan evolved into Johns "follow the stick" plan which was pretty much a wide open plan. They were lead their by destiny and not an actual agenda...

J- K- S were in the same island for sure; how Jack was transferred and why he happens to be playing football so merrily is a mystery we might unravel one day.

i was wondering the same thing but i guess the explanation is simple...Kate assumed that they d betaking Jack back to this island after Carl spilled the beans on the others living here..and she just followed her hunch....

They were following the stick message, then when they found the map of the others compound they decided to go there. I don't think they were expecting Jack would be there. I certainly wasn't, the last time we saw him he was in the bear cage that Sawyer was locked in. We know that the bear cage is on the other island because that's the whole reason Kate and Sawyer couldn't escape even after they got out of the cages.

That's a decent question, I didn't even think of it at the time.

Kate knew they needed a boat to get to the other island. She thoguht Jack was still there. Othersville = access to boat and other island, sot hey headed there. They did not expect to see Jack in Othersville.

actually he ended up on a boat with Juliet in the final scene we saw him do. So he was out of the cages...

Yes, at the end of SIASL, all the Others are on the beach and Jack is there; Ben is on a stretcher. That's when "The Sheriff" tells Jack what she thinks his tattoos mean. Then they all get on a boat to go back to the main island. Juliet says that Jack's friends know where they are now so they need to go back to "what Ben calls home". This is after Jack was in the cage.

Apparently I shouldn't drink and watch Lost at the same time, I remember now that you mention it. I don't think Kate was expecting it though, I had the impression that she thought they would have to get back to the other island.

The Dharmasub? If you watch the CTV preview, Locke is asking Ben about it to get off the island. So, they should still have it on them.

Yeah, it's not a mystery. At the end of Stranger In A Strange Land, they all went back to what Ben calls his home. I don't think Kate knew they would be there but they were looking anyway just to get some answers I suppose.
