Ok, So I am new here altough I have been lurking this board for awhile now. And when the Lost Survival Guide was on back in Feburary, I watched it and for a split second I thought I was going crazy and needed my vision checked. But then I realized I was wacthing Lost and I might not be so crazy after all. If you go and rewatch the episode(which you can download for FREE at I-Tunes), Pay close attention around the 4:36 mark when Jack & Hurley are trying to save Claire. For that 1 second and I am not messing around, there is a Black Shadow Person. I have screen caps that are not altered in any Photoshop program or anything. This is real(atleast in tvland, real). Here are the screen caps. But I urge you to check it out for yourself. The shadow person is running right behind past Hugo..

And if this has been covered then I am sorry but I couln't find anything in these section of the forum..

Again, if this was posted before, I am sorry but it really freaked me out when I first saw it and didn't know how to screencap from my tivo, but thank god for I-Tunes..(Maybe for all the plugs I am giving I-Tunes, they might give me some free credits toward some songs.. Wishfull thinking..)

I think someone did point this out some time ago. It's so strange how he starts out almost completely visible, then begins to "shadow" out. I have no idea what the reasoning could possibly be for this. It's a little creepy.

The clips are on YouTube -

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mbgyVn3vo4&mode=related&search=

Can you point out where the actual scene is on these clips?

Wrong version??? Isn't there just one crash scene?

Or are you talking about the recreated scenes for Expose'???

This was discussed in detail during the first season. I have an original airing recording that I used to post a clip of the scene. It was not photoshopped. The figure is not anyone that can be clearly determined. It is just as the OP pointed out. An almost invisible figure runs through the background of the scene near Hurley and Claire.

No official explanantion was ever made regarding the figure and discussion died off with supposition that it was an aftereffect of some post filming digital removal of an extra that made the scene more busy than desired.

However, in light of the recent revelation of the character Jacob I am not so sure. Could that shimmering figure be Jacob or something similar to Jacob?
