View Full Version : Disappointed???
FishBiscuit 03-29-2007, 12:20 AM I had heard for a while this would be a "catalytic" episode (mainly just chit-chat here - not officially) and I came away thinking it was an irrelevant, albeit clever, way to show the history and, most likely, death of P&N. I do think Lost has its spunk back but I'm wondering if TPTB knew no one liked them and just found an eerie way to get rid of them.
It didn't really enlighten anything else about the show except maybe the Ben scene.
Just me maybe.
LockeLove 03-29-2007, 12:33 AM This felt like a Tales from the Crypt episode. I found it very annoying how these two are throwin into everything all of a sudden, like they were a big part of this show when in fact they weren't!
GettinLost 03-29-2007, 12:34 AM I agree with you a bit on this idea.
I had alsoo heard that Picki played a very important roll and their episode would be pivotal. I guess I was hoping they were spies for the Good Guys - Special Op forces, CIA, or some other group against the Others.
That they turned out to be an Actor and a Chef and thieves to boot - well - yeah - disappointing...
And I don't know - they're not dead YET!! Could they come back??
Still, it was a funny/interesting episode to me!
LostLaura 03-29-2007, 12:34 AM I totally agree. I was so disappointed. Although I think this can probably be merged into the "Didn't Love It" thread.
jasoncountdown 03-29-2007, 12:38 AM We were promised a "game changing" episode halfway through the season by TPTB. Lost is now past the halfway mark and we're still waiting. Either they pushed it back to the end, or the appearance of Cooper on the island last week was it. As shocking and cool as that was, I really hope it wasnt game changer.

I am guessing the fact that the writers couldn't get Micheal back like they had originally hoped has sort of thrown a wrench into all of the exciting, "game changing" plans that they originally had for the last half of this season. Who know what we will wind up with now.
rubyscarlett 03-29-2007, 01:19 AM Count me in for Disappointed. There was alot of hope and hype on this episode and the whole Nikki and Paulo story....and we got nothing.
I want that hour of my life back. I kept waiting for something good to happen, something worthy of LOST, some iconic, and I'm still waiting.
lostgurl 03-29-2007, 01:20 AM Was the little black bag that had the diamonds in it the same bag that the bodies in the cave that had the black and white stones in it?

No, they mentioned again in this week's podcast that this was the "gamechanger" episode, but I'm not seeing it.
FishBiscuit 03-29-2007, 09:42 AM I didn't even hear about the "game-changing" thing - wow. WTH? Maybe Pikki digs their way down and finds the tunnels? That still doesn't make this a game changer. Surely the writers had this ep written when they were making that claim. I haven't had a chance to sift through the boards tis morning to see if someone else picked up on something big, but I just ain't seeing it, folks.
Ok with not knowing everything 03-29-2007, 09:59 AM They didn't mention that there was a game-changer in this episode.
Cooper on the island is definitely a game-changer, and a good one I think. One that I'm definitely interested in the outcome of.
amslostfan 03-29-2007, 10:05 AM I was acutally ' LOST' in this epi. It seemed like such a waste of an epi. We found nothing new out and who cares if Paulo and Nikki are dead !
Slowboat 03-29-2007, 10:10 AM This was a weird episode for me. I was entertained by the episode in general but I tend to get a little irritated when episodes like this air because it did not seem to advance any of the Lost plots at all. It just seemed like "filler" to me.
One thing in particular that bugged me about it was the fact that Paulo saw Ben and Juliet in the Pearl station and once they left, that was it. He must have known that they weren't people from flight 815. If it were me, I'd have gone back to camp and told someone that there were other people in the island immediately. Paulo just seemed to forget about them once they were gone. That really didn't make much sense to me.
redmaria 04-06-2007, 12:36 PM the list of TPTB references just gets longer and longer!the serpent and the rainbow, that famous 80s cult horror flick responsible for this epi, did its job!voodoo and Lost!ah,now thats what i call entertainment!
