I'm sure a lot of you saw the photo from the press release for this episode, that depict's Nikki and Claire dodging the hatch when "the sky turned purple". Why wasn't it in the episode?? Could it be that TPTB realized after they reshot the scene that it was a continuity error, because Bernard wasn't in it, and deleted the scene?? That picture fueled so much speculation, and it wasn't even part of the episode! Have we been foiled?? Anyone else as taken aback by this as I am??

I was wondering the same thing. I saw those photos and when I didn't see them on tonight's episode I thought maybe my recorder screwed up or something.

Anyway, I can't imagine why it was cut.

Would this be one of the episodes that had footage destroyed by an x-ray machine?

I read somewhere in an interview with Daniel Dae Kim that the footage destroyed was for an upcoming Jin/Sun centric episode, because he had to reshoot some off-island stuff.

That part was probably cut for time reasons, like how we didnt end up seeing several of the 'Lost Moments' in the actual episodes.

There's actually another continuity error in it. When the hatch door had fallen down, the "purple sky" event was already over.
