Personally I don't think they did end up like Boone and Shannon. At least Paulo and Nikki had a reason to be at each other's throats-- 8 million in diamonds. Shannon and Boone were just obnoxious because they were obnoxious bratty rich kids.

I am glad that they ended up just like them.

Shannon and Boone weren't murderers, Nikki had some nerve to say that!! It would have done them good to be more like them, even though Shannon was quite annoying, but to me Nikki was even more annoying since she was such a dispicable person.

For some reason, when I watched this scene, I felt like I'd seen it before, except that someone else said "Promise me we'll never end up like that." And I feel like it was Rose who said it. Did anyone else feel a little deja vu there?
