Sorry, I decided that this topic is too deep for a TV show, even one as awesome as "Lost" I know I'm the one that opened this "can of beans," but this is how I feel.

I'm not sure I understand your complaint? Did the filming somehow interfere with a crime clean up? Or was the club which was used scheduled for closure and it was postponed because of the filming schedule?

I'm sure it was simply a question of it being much less expensive to use an actual club than to build a club set for just a few seconds of screen time.

Yes, I have kids, but I've never been to Hawaii, so I have no idea how things are there.

Where I live, I know there are zoning laws which prohibit strip clubs, liquor stores and certain other businesses from being within a certain distance of schools, churches or neighborhoods. Perhaps that is not practical in Hawaii because of space restraints. I don't know.

I do know, that such "clean ups" are done in a lot of places and that in my own opinion, they focus on the symptoms rather than the problems. Kind of like supporting a cure for cancer by investing in a wig company.

Sorry, but I don't see how them filming at a strip club affects all that, unless HI is trying to get rid of all strip clubs and the filming of the scene somehow prevented them from doing so. I'm sure this is not the case. Are you complaining that they are promoting strip clubs? A show is a show-- it's a reflection of the real world. And in this case, it wasn't even a real strip club-- it was a show within a show.

Maybe I'm missing something in your complaint.
