was anyone else reminded of the simpsons episode with poochie? he was the new dog character added to itchy & scratchy to spice it up in its new season. and he was horribly received, so the writers wrote him off and made sure the viewers know he died a horrible death in the process. ever since i first saw Pikki's introduction i was thinking they were a Poochie.

Oh my god ... I laughed so hard when I saw the name of this thread. I guess the fans don't slurp up everything the writers throw at them.

I may be dating myself, but I called this episode the Great Gazoo episode.

This was when the Flintstones and the Jetsons, decided to reuse episodes and include a new little green alien, and simply added him to scenes.

Pikki is the Great Gazoo.

I do however think they did a good job of incorpating a subplot into the show in a smooth manner. I also like that it came to a complete end with no un answered questions.

I suspect we may have more of these as the series gets extended to more and more years.

i would rather have more episodes like this, which don't add to the mythology but give a little insight and tell a neat little story, then have them tack on new characters out of nowhere that play a part in the whole dharma story and risk convoluting the main story.

Poochie made a cameo appearance in one of the Simpsons halloween episodes. The one where Bart and Lisa get sucked into the TV and are part of the Itchy & Scratchy show. A police car that they are riding in, runs over Poochie
