they met randomly when cassidy pulling a con and almost got caught but kate saved her but etc etc. she never called the morning after

They were two random people who were forced together because they were both alone after being betrayed and needed to get themselves out of a sticky situation by helping each other (Kate helped out Cassidy because she didn't want the cops to arrive where she was) -- like the Juliet-Kate situation.

I really liked that Cassidy turned out to be a real part of Kate's life. I'd pretty much guarantee she is the one who sent Kate the money she received at that hotel in (I think) WTCMB.

Many people (LostLaura!) called it last season that Cassidy was the one who taught Kate to con. Good job folks! :clapping:

As part of the parallel, Cassidy and Kate both love Sawyer while Juliet and Kate both care for Jack. However, Kate partnership with Cassidy works out well, while I don't trust Juliet for two seconds.

Could she have gone after Sawyer to give him a little comeuppance for her new friend? The cage sex could have been her first opportunity to lead him on then leave him behind.

she probably taught her some things, but not everytihing. Kate knew how to bail Cassidy out of the Lookie-Lou, after all.

I dont think they were friends. She just waited on her once or twice

I loved the parallels of Kate/Juliet and Kate/Cassidy, but I think I'd take it further in that I'm not sure I trust either Juliet OR Cassidy. Did anyone else feel that way? Is there already a thread on this? (sorry, us west coast folks have to catch up)

BTW, we were trying to remember when we learned about Clementine. Refresher, anyone?

Did anyone else expect the Marshall to show up and arrest Kate because Cassidy turnned her in for reward money in that last scene between the two in the pickup just like the australian rancher did? Boy that was a long sentence! Well, I'm glad it didn't work out that way. It was nice that Kate had a true friend in her life other than Tom.

She found out his name when she found the letter that he had written to the real Sawyer. He knew that she knew his name.

While I certainly don't trust Juliet, I'm not sure I trust Cassidy, either! I don't think we've seen the last of her, in terms of what consequences she may have had for Kate's backstory.

I had to refresh my memory on this too. It was Season 3 Episode 4.

"In "Every Man for Himself", Cassidy visits Sawyer in prison and shows him a picture of Clementine, who she claims is his daughter, and tells him that they are living in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sawyer denies paternity, and demands to know why Cassidy is visiting him; she answers only that she wants Sawyer to write to Clementine."
