View Full Version : Juliet's wealth of Jacknowledge

That's a new word, by the way.

So, was anyone else hoping Juliet would mention to Kate that Jack has a sister on the island? She was rambling off facts left and right, so I was hoping that would slip. If anything, it may explain Juliet's reluctance to talk about what's she's done next week. Hello, she's kidnapped Jack's pregnant sister and experimented on her :drowsy: That kind of stuff ruins relationships.

I so wish she had said that! I really want Claire and Jack to find out - and sooner rather than later.

Not to mention I don't trust Juliet and am sure she experimented on Claire and don't want Jack to fall any more into Juliet's evil grasps! :tongue1:

I was also yelling at Kate . . . wouldn't your natural response be "how in the bloody hell do you know all of this?!?!?"

It seemed like the facts she was rattling off where merely statistics, not an indication of things that would show you really know someone on a personal level. She gave a resume (of sorts) of Jack. I was expecting Kate to fire back with actual important things about Jack, like his hopes, his dreams, his goals just to shut up that smug, little, branded hussy.

I didn't even think about the sister part, that would have been perfect.

So who knows Jack and who doesn't know Jack? Maybe either of them dont know Jack...

Ah, yet another example of Kate not thinking things through. She knows that the Others have intel on them - Juliet called Sawyer James and Locke told her that the Others told him what she did. Why would they not know things about Jack? But, no, Kate jumps to the wrong conclusion, as was Juliet's intent.

I was thinking exactly the same thing.

Does she know about Claire? They probably just gathered information more central to Jack, and may not know about his father's other children. There probably arent any records on the books that he is her father.

I wanted her to do that, too, but poor Kate is slowly being consumed by her jealousy. Did you notice when Jack saw Juliet, he said, "Hey - are you okay?" Just like Jack said to Kate in the pool room 2 wks ago. lol.

I didn't even think about the Claire connection. Another reason not to trust Juliet. She's totally after Aaron and Jack, there's something familial going on there. Males in the Shephard family?
Who knows but it's something.....

I wanted Kate to be like "you may know facts, but I KNOW him." but then I remembered that I ship Skate and prefer Jacket to Jate. Ha!

But, we saw Jack take a bandage off his arm when he was first in captivity. I'm sure they tested Claire's blook when Ethan took her. They know that Aaron is a Shepard - and that's what I think Juliet is going back to the beach to get.

Definitely. I kept getting that vibe that Juliet was trying to make Kate feel angry/jealous. Juliet is up to no good, I swear.

And she must know about Jack and Claire. With all the info they have, plus having taken Claire and having blood samples of Jack, I don't see how the Others wouldn't know about their relationship.

They know things such as when he got divorced and why, things that require a little depth. I'm sure they could figure out who Claire's father is even without testing blood, as sophisticated as they are, but they took Claire's, Jack's, and Aaron's blood, and they probably have Christian's body.

Oh, ditto. All the more reason to believe that she would know his family history.

I was thinking the sister thing as well, but come on, that'd be too easy for Lost! :)

I think Kate thought about that, although she didn't say it. Notice she actually smiles after Juliet finishes her little speech? It's because she DOES know Jack better than Juliet does. She knows him as a person, not just a list of facts.

Juliette's wealth of "Jacknowledge" sounded like all the things you could find out by tracing someone's paper trail, which might not include the fact that Claire and Jack are half brother and sister. Too bad, cause I'd love to see that reveal.

I didn't think of that. It's definately a possibility. Theyd have to think to test for that though.

Kate knows Jack's hopes and dreams and goals? Hahahhahah. She doesn't even know how he got his tattoos. It's not her fault though. Jack's not one to open up much or play 'I Never'.

Everything Juliet rattled off sounded like facts that could be had through a good private investigator or even the internet.

So now that the Others' communications are down Juliet is their "internet". We'll soon be complaining that the Losties are communicating TOO much. ;)

I was suprised that Juliet wasn't worse with Kate. Kate's trek did ruin Juliets trip back home. While its different in Jack's scenario with Kate, with Juliet, its more of a "because of this impulsive chick, i dont get to go home."

That made me a little suspicious. Not the other stuff. Juliet should be absolutely furious with Kate. She's destroyed her only hope on the island. She should have been the one throwing punches and swinging pool cue's. Instead Kate was off her rocker and going on rampages, while being overwhelmed by jealousy. So she was the angry one. Either they didnt write that scenario with Juliet very well, or shes definitely doing something else. I'd say the 'plant' scenario is definitely possible. She could be more calm about the whole thing, because she was offered a new deal by Ben. Who knows..

And Jack being unconscious for an entire day makes no sense either. Some weird stuff going on there.

Can one thread go without the 'shipper' baiting?

Yes Juliet could be relatively calm because Ben offered her another deal, but she could alos be calm because she wanted to gain Kate's trust as she said at the sonic fence. In either scenario she was trying to manipulate Kate, so she needed to be in calm mode.

Sorry if that seemed harsh but I stand by what I said. Jack needs to open up more. Especially to Kate. He's hardly told Kate anything significant about himself. Except that his dad died. I miss the times he shared tidbits like his ring story to Sun, or how his girlfriend said he talked in his sleep to Claire. And as I said, this was no fault of Kate who has definitely wanted to get to know Jack better but been rebuffed or deflected when she's asked questions. Personally I thought it was a great counter coming from Juliet, and maybe drove home that she doesn't know Jack as well as she thought she did. Since she obviously misread how he would react to her saving him. Or his reason for telling her not to come back.

Yes Juliet has read a file on him, and that doesn't tell the whole picture, but it fills in some gaps. And clearly from early season 3 Juliet has been identifying with Jack and trying to get into his head/mindset. She obviously doesn't know everything about him either. However, she knows quite a bit now after the past 3 weeks.

That whole exchange made me think about the difference between knowing and understanding. (Kinda like hearing versus listening.) So, Juliet knows Jack's blood type. Whoopie!!! What does that prove? Must be love!!

Sorry, after tonight, I really dislike Juliet.

She sounded like a scientist, regurgitating scientific data at a conference. Certainly didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy. She's one cold, calculating you-know-what and Jack's 'trust' in her is quite misguided. I have never trusted her. I may be proven wrong in the longrun, but I have to agree with Sayid.

Again, the theme of choices as Damon has mentioned in the S2 dvd, is another common thread for our Losties.

Huh ... I really thought this thread was about the preview for next week's episode.

All of Juliet's knowledge is just stuff any police officer could dig up in an hour if he/she was doing a background check on you.

A conversation with Juliet could be a real watershed moment for the show and its viewers.
