This makes the third time we've heard Patsy Cline's "Walkin' After Midnight."
1.Kate played it in on the record player in "What Kate Did".
2. It was on the radio in Christian Shephard's car in "Two for the Road."
3. It was being played in the tow truck at the beginning of tonight's episode.

Wasn't the song playing in Ray Mullen's truck as well way back in "Tabula Rasa"?

The use of it in the Ana Lucia episode has always puzzled me. . . maybe they had another song then had to pull it at the last minute because they couldn't get the rights.
They sure have made good use out of the rights to this song!

Yea I noticed that too. The song playing in Ray Mullen's truck was Leavin' on your Mind. But it was also by Patsy Cline. I think Kate just likes her music.

Patsy Cline was killed in a plane crash.
The song (http://www.theguitarguy.com/walkinaf.htm)itself is for someone restless enough to take strolls after midnight, in search of someone. Much like Kate's always on the run.
Or, she was just an awesome singer and the song is iconic..

I believe "Moonlight Serenade" is the only other song to have played more than once. First on the radio in "The Long Con" when Hurley and Sayid were on the beach. Then in "A Tale of Two Cities" on Jack's car radio when he was stalking Sarah.

Yea, it seems like a reference to "time" playing some kind of particular role on the show.

I didnt know she died that way.....ritchie valens/big bopper style......anyway:
I go out walking after midnight
Out in the moonlight just like we used to do
I'm always walking after midnight searching for you
I walk for miles along the highway
Well that's just my way of saying I love you
I'm always walking after midnight searching for you
I stopped to see a weeping willow
Crying on his pillow maybe he's crying for me
And as the skies turn gloomy
Night blooms will whisper to me I'm lonesome as I can be
I go out walking after midnight out in the moonlight
Just hoping maybe you're somewhere walking after midnight searching for me
I stopped to see a weeping willow
Crying on his pillow maybe he's crying for me
And as the skies turn gloomy
Night blooms will whisper to me I'm lonesome as I can be
I'm out walking after midnight out in the moonlight
Just hoping maybe you're somewhere walking after midnight searching for me
