Ben being able to take a really rough beating and although his face was bruised and cut he didn't show any sign of being weakened. Ben also as we now know had a growth on his spine and that didn't bother him either.

The guy who Ana Lucia fought seemd unusually strong and her only way to kill him was he impaled upon a tree branch.

That is a good point, we were thinking she was very strong but when you compare it - yes they all seem super strong. Maybe a Dharma experiment...very good point indeed.

maybe the island's powers are like steroids for the body and the soul... the others can all definitely fight and Juliet got to 2nd degree black belt in just 3 years. once again i say it's because of island steroids.
