I tought that juliet sister was on the island in the beginning of "Not in portland".

Yeah, I think that the scene in "Not in Portland" with the sister was all in Miami. Remember Juliet sitting on the beach, then later looking out the window on Miami and an Oceanic flight swoops through. They just lead us to believe at the beginning of the show to think she was on the island.

Yeah...remember Juliette's concern about missing her sister's baby's birth at the end of NIP? They (Alpert & Ethan) assured her she would be back in time for a visit...my guess is....they lied...as The Others are prone to do.

No, Ethan was in Miami. The beginning scene was in Miami. Ethan had probably been spying on Juliet's sister since he and Alpert knew all about her when they met with Juliet. The hexagonal box on the table was not a DHARMA logo. All Miami.

Ethan was in Miami, so was that Mittelos guy that recruited Juliet for the island.

Do we have a pics of that hallway when ethan pass beside juliet... it looked like the "Contrete look" of the hatches ! May be there are reuse set !!!

Yeah, those scenes were written to be Miami, not the island. It was the beginning of her flashback.

Unless the confusion we are having is intentional i think it is pretty obvious that it is in Miami.
