so far I really have to say I trust Juliet - I'm sure we're going to learn some more about what she did, but I have to say I think she is a genuinely great person. Jack? who knows at the moment.

This is why I love her character. I keep swaying back and forth. When she is talking to someone I'm really feeling bad for her and rooting for her.. then I stop myself to think about things and question her a lot. I just can't keep my head in one place. I don't know if she's a good person. It certainly seems like she at least used to be. I don't think I want to know her plans for sure right now. It's interesting trying to read her.

I wonder if Locke has any idea that Ben and Juliet set up the whole submarine bit--not the explosion (Ben explained that to him), but the Jack-and-Juliet-go-together part.

JACK sure doesn't know.

If Juliet didn't know before then, Ben certainly informed her after the explosion and before sunup--and the gassing. The wonder to me is, whatever he promised her for being the mole, she believed him. I guess that telling her he didn't lie (after showing her the feed of Rachel and her nephew) made an impression?

Is she in conflict about this? Yes. Will she do EXACTLY what Ben has told her to do during her week there? You bet. So being in conflict makes ZERO difference.

That's one heck of a con they're running on Jack, yes?

Nice lie about the injections to insure Claire lived through childbirth--when Ethan was actually implanting the sickness trigger. Ben knew what he was doing ALL ALONG.

The question is--what is Ben doing?!

For all the answers we got about Juliet and the current Others, we still know squat about Ben, Dharma, etc.

I fear for the consequences of trusting Juliet. Sure hope Sayid and James snap out of the shame she triggered in them. Smooth operator, that Juliet.

BUT a lot of what was said and what happened in that episode was truth. We definitely need to realize that. The research they're doing on the island (at least the part Juliet was involved with), that has to be a fact. I also think we saw in her, several times, a true desire to get off the island. And some more... should we say, human characteristics that we haven't necessarily seen from some of the Others. I still trust her to a degree. I wonder if she won't double-cross Ben in this.

Ohhhhh! My heart sank faster than the submarine when I saw that ending! I was actually starting to trust her!

ME TOO!

but maybe we still should. maybe she made that plan with BEN so she could get away from the others.

It can definitely be argued that Juliet isn't "good", but then neither of the Losties really are. She is only helping Ben because she thinks she will finally get off the island. She is not one of the Others. I wouldn't be surprised if she ultimately helps the Losties. It took a long time for many of them to change, and it will be the same for Juliet.

Yes, exactly. I couldn't come up with a way to say that... but yes, I believe that regardless of what she has done or been in the past, she will ultimately end up doing right.

We still have no idea about Juliet. She could just as easily be playing Ben instead of Jack. She still shot one of her own so. She still loves her sister and wants to go home, and she was angry at Ben for his deception.
And there was something very scary wrong with Claire, and she did make it stop.

As much as I love Juliet - remember that was part of their whole plan from the beginning. It was them who made her sick with the intention of Juliet getting in their good graces by stopping it.

Nothing is as it seems on this show. I think it's a good possibility that she is playing Ben. I just wonder to what lengths she will go to follow his plan.

We still don't know what Juliet's true intentions are being the mole in the Losties camp though. She could be playing both sides of the fence here. Even when Ben was going over the plan with her at the table near the end, Ben seemed to pick up some hesitant reaction Juliet was giving off.

It's absolutely amazing how people still want to trust her after this episode. I sure do. It just shows how great of a character Juliet is.
