So, after this episode do you like Juliet or do you not like her. I really don't her. Even if she didn't really want to be on the Island, she still hurt Clair.
100%
oops, I thought the episode was already over and there was still about five minutes left. I really don't like her now.

I am 100% amazed with Julliette. She is so cool. I definitely like her better as a villain. She is fast becoming one of my favorites.

Whatever Ben promised her, she's going for it. During the episode I was starting to like and trust her, but now I'm starting to hate her.

I love her and Ben both... One minute you think they're good (Ben in the beginning, not so much now) and then the next you just don't know. I love complex characters like that... They're intriguing!

I still like Juliet and always will. I think it's too early to see her true motives. I can see her making a decision down the road of betraying her people. Maybe she has a plan of her own, but then again she will do anything to go home and see her sister. This whole situation with Juliet is really evolving!

So is she playing Ben or Jack?

Exactly.
What does she have to gain by staying faithful to Ben?.. the sub is gone. Why would she shoot one of her own?

Amazing actress and very expressive. But Juliet the character is way too cold for me to like. Even if she has reasons for all she is doing, she would never show her cards.

I love the character. She's so intriguing and amazing. I have no idea what is coming next with her, but I certainly don't trust her!!

Probably both... she's going to end up doing what's best for herself.

The thing I hate about Juliet is the amount of character development she's recieved and as a result how emotionally attached we (or at least I) have become. Now we learn that she's still working for Ben, working against the characters we truly love and care about. Are we still expected to care about her? Am I seriously supposed to care about her, or Rachel, or Julian, or anything pertaining to her? After tonight's episode, I lost complete interest in Juliet's fate, as I am tired of the Others' duplicitious nature. I mean sure, that's the way they are, and you should never trust them, but I fully expected for either our lostaways to realize this by now, or for Juliet to FINALLY break and seriously become "one of us." As it stands, it seems the Others will remain manipulative and dubious, and their story arc will begin to stagnate.

Now a few things could happen that would make me shut up. Juliet could easily be working against Ben, thus redeeming her in my eyes, or Jack could be fully aware of Juliet's con, which would redeem the seemingly stupid losties. I'm not sure what's going on with Ben and Locke, but seeing Locke redeem himself as a character by outsmarting Ben would make me giddy like a little girl.

So I guess the answer to the original question is NO, I don't like Juliet. I absolutely despise her, and don't care at all about what happens to her or her bloody duplicitious companions.

But that could easily change in the next few weeks. :ohwell:

Totally love her. She is by far the most mysterious and interesting character - you never know whose side she is on, except for her own. She is a real strong woman who can stand up for herself, and is super intelligent to boot. Also, the fact that Elizabeth Mitchell is possibly the most stellar actor in the entire cast doesn't hurt.

I am as intrigued by Juliet as I was by Henry Gale around this time last year

GREAT CHARACTER!

I don't like her . I felt so bad for her when they were showing her the tv with her sister and nephew on it I actually had tears in my eyes! Then at the end when Juliet was talking to Ben I wanted to reach in my TV and smack her! :cursing:

I like her. I wanted her to have a secret agenda and she did.

I am actually quite torn here. I know that she is doing horribly evil things, but trying to put myself in her position, I sort of understand her motives. If I was being kept from my family, how far would I go to get back to them? Would I lie to people I don't really know? Would I hurt someone or even kill? I don't know, I've never been there.

We have to keep in mind she has no attachments whatsoever to our Losties, she knows what she's been told. Her sister was her sister always. She misses her and worries about her and that seems to be her big motivator in her wretched behavior. I despise the things she's done, but I want to believe that she's doing it... not against her will so much, but her hand is being forced. It is her only option if she wants to get home.

I know this is a much lighter example in comparison to the things Juliet has done, but bear with me. If you have $5 left to your name and someone steals it, you would be angry and think of them merely as a lowlife thief. If you found out that the person who stole your $5 was homeless and hadn't eaten anything for a week, would that change your judgment of him at all? It may or may not, but I think that's where the writers are toying with us.

I think that from the beginning, LOST has been blurring the image of good and bad as we perceive it. They have done it so effectively with this character. As Juliet pointed out to Sawyer and Sayid, our Losties have done some pretty vile things too. We're still rooting for them though.

After all that rambling, my point is that I just don't know whether or not to like her! My opinion doesn't change from episode to episode, it changes from scene to scene.

Amazing portrayal by EM. As for liking the character, I would have to say no. I sympathized with her up to a point, but she's way too deceptive.

I really like Juliet as a character. She is so mysterious. You never know what side of her you'll see, or where her allegiances lie (well now we do). I find if fascinating that she really used to be a healthy emotional person, and now we understand at least partly how and why she's changed. And apparently she still has at least one weak spot, we saw her breakdown in front of Ben.

I also think she's really beattiful, this might be kind of hard to explain, but it seems like all the different facets of EM's face are paralell to one another, like all the angles on her face are compementary, like every one is either 70 or 110 degrees (for example). Anyone understand what I'm talking about??

I'm with the crowd that think Elizabeth is a darn good actress, but I honestly have hated Juliet since the beginning. That cold smirk made me wanna hit her across the face immediately! But the character is definitely interesting and I look forward to seeing what will happen next. She's just like Ben, except one minute she's pathetic, the next she's an ice queen! It's amazing.

I was just charmed by her from the very beginning, so I like her. She is a complex and strong character, there is something so beautiful about her. Now I really don't know whether it is right to trust her, but I hope she is playing her own game and isn't going to betray Jack..

Now I'm warming to her .....

LOVE HER!

Even though it appears she is going top betray Jack and the losties for her own self interest I'm rooting for her all the way.

Right now I like Juliet. As much as she is going to possibly hurt the losties I think that she is just in survival mode right now. The only person she really has emotional attachment to is Jack so she really doesn't owe the losties anything nor does she care for the people she worked with if she is willing to kill what's-his-face when Kate and Sawyer are leaving. Right now she is just looking out for #1 and I can't really blame her.
