View Full Version : The beginning of the end. Juliet=wrench in the machine. MarkKligman 04-12-2007, 12:00 AM that ending? WOW! what does this mean for our losties? LockeLove 04-12-2007, 12:02 AM I was sitting here shaking my head. I knew it was going to be something like that, but at the same time, I wish it wasn't like that! What did Ben say she had to hide in the jungle? I missed that! pisceschick 04-12-2007, 12:03 AM Yeah!!! That was awesome! I was totally snowed, I believed in Juliette being good. This is what I love about this show. LostGroupie 04-12-2007, 12:04 AM that ending? WOW! what does this mean for our losties? Eeewww they have something evil up their sleeves! Makes me wonder if they really are after Aaron now. Jack is so gullible! CrimsonRabbit 04-12-2007, 12:08 AM Ben saying he'd see her in a week... so scary. The Others are up to something -- a final plan. LostLaura 04-12-2007, 12:11 AM It was a brilliant ending. We still have tons to guess about, but at least they spelled it out for us that at least Juliet and Ben had a plan going. Jenni Lou 04-12-2007, 12:16 AM Or maybe they are just collecting intel or something on the latest pregnant woman....Sun. Ator 04-12-2007, 12:16 AM The question is...where is this "devious" side of Juliette coming from? So far, none of her flashbacks have given us any indication that she is capable of such lies and deceit. She was trying to steal the drugs for her sister in Not In Portland...and that's about it. If Ben is so adament about her NOT leaving the island....why does she feel compelled to keep assisting him in the ruse with the Losties. Did he promise her something else if she continued to help? She's def great at concealing her true intentions. Perhaps she's in the camp to keep tabs on the "other" Lostie who's preggers, Sun. My only hope is Jack is just "pretending" to trust her...watching her...and waiting for her to slip up. Perhaps that's why he doesn't hound her with questions the way Sawyer & Sayid were doing...Hope he is figuring that if he gives her enough rope...she'll hang herself. If Jack gets caught in Juliette's web...he's a bigger idiot than I thought. Kudos to Elizabeth Mitchell in the eppy, btw. Just an awesome job playing a gambit of emotions. Her stand off with Sayid & Sawyer was top notch. jennylee27 04-12-2007, 12:21 AM It was a brilliant ending. Ah, but of course you have to believe then that Juliet is playing Jack et al, and not Ben. ;) She certainly is a crafty woman. Anotheronebitesthedust 04-12-2007, 03:34 AM she Wants To Leave The Island!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and Go Home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's Her Motivation To Do All That Ben Asks For!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AnalogKid 04-12-2007, 09:51 AM Yeah that ending completely caught me off guard! I liked how they focused on Juliet tightening the rope on her tent. Symbolic of tightening the noose around the Losties no doubt! CorpseFX 04-12-2007, 09:58 AM isnt she part of 'The Machine'? a beach camp is hardly a machine or a even a 'society' where people are autonomous to leave, find their own food (also provided by Dharma with junk food), their own shelter and participate in activities as they please. heck, even sawyer got along fine without "contributing economically" until Hurley and the writers pushed their own idea of how social relationships should happen Passport 04-12-2007, 10:00 AM This won't be the end of the "Just who is Juliet working for?" storyline. We now know her motivation which is to get home to Rachel and Julian, but I think she has played Ben rather than the Losties. Remember the Losties are about getting home, wheras the Others are about the Island being home. This was symbolised by John Locke siding with the Others. Jules has a higher chance of getting off the island with the Losties, esp. now that she knows the only way off the island has been blown up, but the big question is how is she going to get away with it? |
