I didn't see that one coming. Then again, this episode was rapid fire!

Ooer. How could anyone fall for a creepy guy like Goodwin? Even if it is Juliet. They must have drugged her and hypnotized her into liking him. lol....*cringe*

Well, I loved seeing Goodwin so I guess there was something for all of us to enjoy.

Seriously... the kiss on the knee thing? That was hot.

That morning they were in bed was only a short time before his death. She certainly seems to be over him already!

Yeah, he's creepy (not as much as Ethan though), but at least he's attractive!

So I guess she and Ben don't have a romantic history then. So what was with that line about the soup? Kind of an odd thing to say.

Well, if it wasn't Juliet it would have had to be some LUCKY lady!!! Brett Cullen - HOT HOT HOTT!!! I'd say they were the PERFECT pair!!!

Agreed. Hot. Hot. Hot. I loved the revelation and the scene itself.

A much better couple than Juliet and Ben! I'm so glad that didn't play out.

Well, who says it needs to be true love? ;) He was probably smitten with her, but Muffin's priority is Muffin. She was probably just having fun.

We're so easy. The thing is, in The Other 48 Days, Goodwin creeped me out more than Ethan ever did, because I didn't see it coming and because he didn't look like a movie villain. There was something downright bonechilling in the way he looked at Ana.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who appreciated "the knee thing" :hypocrit:

There was a recent interview with Michael Emerson and he said he thought Ben sort of had this unrequited thing for Juliet. I could see that considering this latest episode. But it sure doesn't seem like Juliet ever had a thing for him.

I think Ben might be in love with Juliet and that might be part of why he doesn't want her to leave the island. And she definitely allows herself to be subjugated by more powerful men (her ex and now Ben), so I think she has some kind of weird love for Ben.

I don't understand the soup line either. I think TPTB wanted us to think that she had a relationship with him. Or with Ethan. So why bother with the Goodwyn storyline? So random to me. I didn't think they had any chemistry either. But yes, the scene was hot.
Goodwyn is creepy, but he's no Ethan (nothing scares me more than Ethan!!).

Anyway, she is clearly very over Goodwyn. Maybe she was just using him to see if she could gain more information on the Others and what they are all about. She certainly isn't mourning him. And remember how upset she acted when Colleen died? Didn't she even say that none of them had ever been killed before or something? She's just a big fat manipulator.

It seemed like in the operating room when she first got there, Goodwin was there for her. She wasn't used to dealing with death (wait.didn't she tell Jack that?).

Yes, she said that. She said it because the con started all the way back there. She's been working to gain his trust since the beginning, so she could inflitrate the Losties. She didn't seem to shaken by death when she shot Danny.

As far as how shaken up she was over Colleen's death, that's because Colleen was pregnant.

Island Juliet has always seemed to have no real heart/empathy/love in my book. Quite selfish, not to mention creepy like the rest of Them.

When Juliet and Goodwin were in bed and they hear a knock on the door, Juliet says to him, "Stay here." Did anyone else get the impression that they were keeping their relationship a secret for some reason?

On Juliet not mourning maybe she doesn't know he is dead...

"Muffin" is a nickname people use for Juliet because of the original book club scene where she burns muffins.

Not sure if this is the place or if it has been brought up, but could it be that Juliet had Michael shoot AL because she killed Goodwin? I am sure she knows he is dead.

That morning they were in bed was only a short time before his death. She certainly seems to be over him already!Yeah, I expected to see a scene where she found out about it. Maybe that's coming up next though - IslandG has an interesting theory:
Not sure if this is the place or if it has been brought up, but could it be that Juliet had Michael shoot AL because she killed Goodwin? I am sure she knows he is dead.Possible - they were ready to kill Juliet for offing Pickett, so it would make sense they'd want payback for Goodwin.

I know people don't want to believe it, but I think her and Ben had a relationship and was cheating on him with Goodwin. But that just my humble theory...

I thought Ana-Lucia and Libby were just collateral damage (Libby definitely was). Michael shot them because it was necessary to stage the escape. It could have been Jack, Kate, Sawyer, Hurley, or anyone else.

Yes ,'sandcv', I picked up on that too. Juliet WAS trying to hide her relationship with Goodwin.

I think that the whole Goodwin thing could have been a one of, like Juliet cheating on Ben or just making him jealous.

They could have been breaking up when the plane crashed hence the "so im out of the book club" line from Ben.

I don't buy it. Look at how uncomfortable Ben is when she puts her head on his shoulder. There obviously wasn't anything between them at that point in time.

But then there's Tom's comment that Ben and Juliet had 'history'. So that would seem to suggest that they had a relationship either prior to Juliet/Goodwin or between the time the flight crashed and when the Losties were captured. Maybe she turned to Ben after Goodwin's death?

Well we know that Julliette will do ANYTHING to get off the island. Maybe she sort of, you know, not to sound crass, but maybe she tried to get on his good side by seducing Ben. Maybe that was the case with Goodwin as well.

maybe sex isn't allowed on the Island for women of childbearing age until Juliet solves the pregnancy/death thing? All I know is that if I were her, I'd double up on the birth control:biggrin:

I loved seeing Juliets fine arse!

Elizabeth Mitchell is just one fine woman and seeing her sitting in bed nude was . . .

Gets my vote for "Sexiest Moment" in all three seasons of Lost.

Did anyone notice when Juliet is looking at the xray, Goodwin says "what's wrong" it sounds really strange. Almost like the voice is doubled with a childs...like maybe Walt's.

On ABC's lost podcast with the two writers, they mentioned that......

Julliette was having an affair with Goodwin.

I wonder what they meant by that...?

I think the fact that Juliette herself has said, "It happens at conception", this would be fairly insane of her.
