What could Ben possibly want from our Losties? Could Juliette be planted with them so that she has access to Aaron? He seems to be the only child that the Others can't seem to get their hands on. What do you think?

Maybe. I started another thread about theories about what will happen during the one week period. This is one plausible theory. I also think she could be there to abduct Sun. Or even Claire again. But prob. Sun.

It's either Aaron or Sun that she wants. Sun could be another test subject if the pregnancies are more important than the babies. Although we also know they take children and we don't know why. I don't know what they're after now.

Do you guys think that Ben & Juliet know that Sun is pregnant? I'm not that sure about it, though my intuitions are really often way off (I "foresaw" 12 years ago that Windows SO would never be a success :rolleyes: ).
As I see it the others don't know about this new pregnancy and their plan is unrelated to Sun, possibly Juliet will learn about Sun quite soon and this might change their original plan. The original plan itself might be very well about Aaron or Claire, most sure thing is that is has something to do with fertility and pregnancies, but not about Sun's since I don't think they know.

All this said, you guys are right that Juliet was really interested in Jin, Sun and Desmond. Was this just a random shot at random losties? Again, I doubt it. maybe she was misinformed about the love triangles and was just being busybody? :biggrin:

I think she wants Sun to find out her baby. Then kidnap her, maybe Aaron too, which sets Claire up , also this may set up the "Jack finding out Claire is his sister" thing.

The beauty is that we know there's a sinister plan at work here that has been uncoiling for a while.

If I had to vot for one of the above choices I'd take "C" because Lost just spins our heads on a weekly basis.

Ben wants a cure for the pregnancy death syndrome. Juliet knows she can't leave the island till she finds one. Baby Aaron is of no use to them for this purpose.

I think Claire was plan A. Juliet WAS going to use her to find this cure, but realized at that point that it didn't effect the mothers of babies conceived off island.

On to plan B.
They captured Jack because they needed a surgeon. They got Kate and Sawyer to make Jack comply. But why Sawyer? Kate would have been enough for this purpose. I think Kate and Sawyer were kidnapped, not just as leverage, but as breeders. The Others set the playing field for them. They gave Kate the slinky little sundress to wear while she hacks at rocks with a pick axe. They made them work and suffer side-by-side to unify them against a common enemy. Then they put them in adjoining cages so they can exchange cute remarks, longing glances, and fish biscuits. The only thing missing was the sexy Jazz background music and the plate of chocolate covered strawberries. They were totally set up to mate. They probably got a super dose of fertility drugs when they first arrived, while they were unconscious.

(Seriously, why else would they put Kate in that sundress?)

So now, Juliet is following through to find out if Kate wound up pregnant from her night with Sawyer. The whole "save Claire from death" ruse was for Kate to see, so she will confide in Juliet if she is pregnant. Naturally, she will fear for her life if she is, and need Juliet's help. Juliet plans to use her new guinea pig Kate to find the cure that will buy her ticket off the island.

I suspect the Others don't know about Sun. So when Juliet does find out, it will be like a bonus pregnancy for her to study. That is, if Jin was the father. If Jae Lee was the father, poor Sun won't be able to keep this secret, because she could die from it.

I've always had a chuckle in the back of my head about Claire's psychic's advice back in Australia: "You're baby must not be raised by another" AN OTHER! I would totally believe that Aaron is part of the plan, I'm surprised they haven't taken him yet! But I think Juliette being there probably serves the other purposes too.
