There were two moments tonight when I fell in love with Psycho Juliet.

First, when she owns Sayid and Sawyer. That's probably one of my favorite moments this season.

And second... have you ever seen Ben so terrified? His face when she tore into him in the kitchen was priceless and I did NOT expect that, not one bit.

The other thing I noticed about Ben in the scene in his kitchen is that he couldn't even put his arms around her when she started sobbing on his chest. Insensitive Jerk.

LOL! Well, considering she was SO close to kicking his ***, I can't say I blame him.

Agreed on both counts! And I loved her in the end, once we know she's just playing the Losties and she's all smiling at Jack, acting like she wants to be part of the group. She's creepy, but a good creepy

The scene with her, Sayid and Sawyer really made me roll my eyes. These are two hardened men that have participated in their fair share of violence. How could this woman say "Remember how you guys killed these people?" stun them in their tracks. I'm sure Sayid heard that COUNTLESS times as a tourterer for the Guard. I didn't believe for a second that that would stop them. For a moment I expected Sayid's response to be "I'm about to kill one more if you don't start talking," or at LEAST have Sawyer take the supplies back for Juliet while Sayid stayed behind and handled her. If these guys are supposed to be two of our toughest and they were disarmed so easily, we're in a lot of trouble.

I'm thinking they were supposed to be surprised that she knew so much about them. But yeah, that is funny to think of those either a) being intimidated by her or b) hanging their heads in shame.

I must agree... Especially after seeing the end of this episode, they should've smacked off HER self-righteous smirk!

Ugh... I hate her so much, I love that this episode pinned her as a villain, after all the speculation!

I loved the scene when Juliet put Sayid and Sawyer in their place. I thought she was going to hit Ben or something in that kitchen scene. She is a woman not to be messed with.

Something must have happened during her stay in the island to harden her so much.

Remember in the first FB? She was a weak, hesitant, giggly woman.

Now Juliet is a woman who shoots with a steady hand, knocks people over with martial arts, is a master manipulator and a straight-faced liar.

We all know she wants to get off the island. But, really, how could she have hardened so much in so little time?

She was on the island for three years... there's probably a lot that happened then that we don't know about, maybe training of some kind? She has also been through the ringer emotionally so that might have hardened her to anything except her goal of going home.

But there is a definite difference between flashback Juliet and present Juliet.

I don't understand why so many are convinced her primary aim is to get off the island.

She wanted off the island to be with her sister. She bargained away her own release in return for her sister's life (remember, Ben told her if she agreed to stay, they would cure her Rachel's cancer.) She stayed, so they cured her. There were no terms struck in that bargain that included Juliet going back home. Everything we have been shown indicates that she agreed to remain there in return for her sister's health and nephew's safe birth.

On the other hand, the only evidence to show that she wants off the island is the charade she has put on for Jack. Every scene of her wanting off the island, since the crash of 815, has been an exhibition for Jack's benefit, and likely part of one long con.

They showed us Ben's conversation with Juliet about infiltrating the Losties. What they didn't show us in that scene was any manipulation or bargaining, or anything indicating that Juliet was trying to get away. Once again, the only thing indicating she wants to get away is her performance in front of Jack.... and it was made *abundantly* clear tonight that nothing she tells Jack, or the other survivors, is to be trusted.

Another clue... they hit us over the head again about how Ben is a man of his word. And Ben's words to Jack were to forget about Juliet, "she's one of us [Others], Jack..."

She made her deal with the devil to save her sister's life. Ben/the Others own her. She's not trying to get away, she is carrying out Ben's plan as directed. Just one long con...

I'm on the west coast and haven't seen the episode yet but it sounds to me like
Juliet has turned out to be the character that Kate was supposed to be. Kate seems like an ineffectual not too bright wimp in comparison.
