View Full Version : I have faith in Juliet...

That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

I think that TPTB are throwing us for a loop with how they presented Juliet to us this whole season. We feel sorry for her, we hate her, feel sorry for her, hate her, etc etc. The ending to this episode made me despise Juliet... UNTIL the moment Ben said something about "Jack" during their plan to infiltrate the Lostie camp. Juliet was lost for a second, and I think that her feelings for Jack will be too strong for her to 'sell out' the Losties.

I know we've been saying that Jack or Locke will turn out to be a traitor, but I think Juliet will betray the Others. Again, I had a moment at the end of pure disdain and... HATE for juliet, until she kind of froze. I think Jack is enough to change her for the better.

God. An amazing episode.

I'm with you on Juliet. I really do like her, and I think she is caught in the middle. She lies for herself, her sister and her new nephew and wants to get back to them. She is alone here, until she met Jack. I think this is a very interesting develoment. And perhaps a "game-changer."

You don't want to know what I yelled at her when I saw the FB of her setting up the whole betrayal with Ben. LOL

I do not have faith on her.

I predict a tragedy by the end of the season. Maybe Desmond is right and Charlie will die. Maybe that's gonna happen when he's trying to protect Claire from some Juliet's evil deed. Maybe Juliet is the one who kills Charlie...

... and maybe Jack is the one that stops Desmond from saving Charlie from Juliet.

Am I going too far?

Sorry, I think Juliet has gone into the same mode that Michael did- get off the island no matter who you have to kill or betray to do it. She may have a soft spot for Jack, but given the hoice she'd leave him in a heartbeat.

or Jack "the leader"..... marked as a leader..... will have faith in her and that will change her...the trust of a truly honourable person has the potential to change us (whether we change or not I guess is up to us and in this case Juliet)

Jack is just too good to her. I'm not sure she could do that to him.

IF she does though... Poor Jack. We'll never trust his judgement of character ever again. He just can't catch a break... EVER.

Yes, I think it should be pretty clear by now that she'll do anything to get off that island. Ben has promised to do just that after she does one last thing, which I think is either deliver Sun to him or Arron..

Sad thing is, I think Jack may forgive her because he wants off so bad, too. He understands her and will rationalize her desperate deeds. Jack, Jack, Jack . . . for a spinal surgeon, he could use a stronger backbone. But I still like the guy.

Good thread. I think if left to her own devices, Juliet would pull a Michael and do whatever it takes to get off the Island, including murder. That being said, I think her game changer is Jack. He's one of the few people she appears to have genuine affection for and an unwilligness, or at least hesitancy to use. He also has the same objective as her: to get off the Island. In the end, I think her character will be redeemed, probably when she finds out Ben has been lying to her all along (about getting off the Island, about her work, about her sister, whatever).

I agree that she'll be redeemed. She's definitely treading on thin ice right now. She's at the point of: if she believes Ben will deliver on his promise, then she has to do what he says. I hope that doesn't happen. Hopefully she finds out the Mikhail/Sister video was a fraud, video manipulation or something, and turns against Benjamin Linus.

She'll lead the Losties against Locke & the Others :) Showdown!

Juliet will do whatever she can to get off the island. So would any of our losties. But, she is going to screw them somehow. But she is symapthetic, unlike Ben.

I can't make the comparison between Juliet and Michael. I just think that Juliet has so much more knowledge of the island, its inhabitants, and its mysteries than Michael did. I still think Michael's just floating around in a boat somewhere, just like Desmond was. I have to believe that Juliet knows that too, and at least knows what is remotely possible and what is clearly impossible re: getting off of the island.

I have faith in Juliet too. I believe she has her own agenda, and methods of circumnavigating Ben's control.

One thing to remember is that Juliet and Jack were going to be leaving on the submarine.. I truly believe that and I believe that they thought so.

So... what happened after the sub being blown up that would make her want to do this for Ben?

After all, it seems there's no way off the island now...?

It's weird, I have more faith in Juliet now, after we've seen how deep her deception goes, than I ever have before. It's obvious that she's very intelligent, and she knows who she can trust. She wants to go home and see her sister again, that's the one thing that she desires the most. I also believe now that she will side with Jack in the end, if she hasn't already decided to betray Ben.

I do not have faith on her.

Even if Juliet is double crossing Ben, I have no doubt there will be bloodshed on one side or the other because of it.

I don't despise Juliet but I do not see her helping the "losties" either. I think she is gonna do what Ben wants her to do simply because he does have control over the"others" and the only way Juliet can get off that island is by the "others" help. The "others" had control over the submarine which is blownup now, but they also have boats, I do not see them giving up a boat to Juliet without Ben's permission.

I so want to like Juliet..., But there 2 people on that island that I wouldn't want to play Poker with. Juliet and Ben. We can also add our friend Greg Nations to that list. If I was sitting on the beach playing poker, with the 3 of them for fruit. I would give up and walk away.

I have faith in her too. TPTB are making it too easy for us to believe she has blind faith in Ben. I predict the season will end with Juliet killing Ben.
