View Full Version : Sawyer and Kate reunion Tricia 04-12-2007, 04:04 AM Made me tear up. You can see how he genuinely loves her   QueenLizzie13 04-12-2007, 04:06 AM made me tear up too. although so do the Jate scenes so now I have no idea who I'm rooting for with Kate. All those kinds of scenes are moving. <3. Mojave 04-12-2007, 04:07 AM I got teary over the Kate/Hurley and Sawyer/Jack hugs. Pisaster 04-12-2007, 04:08 AM I was waiting for someone to mention that  I am usually not a shipper, but that was touching. I have always been a Sawyer fan but lately I am even coming around to Katie. They are setting us up to not feel much about Jack and Kate, although when Juliette's true motives are revealed, we will then feel sorry for him again. Forget it. Maybe I'm becoming a shipper? Zoriah 04-12-2007, 04:21 AM She had tears in her eyes too, and just clung to him. Beautifully done. They didn't need to say a word, every emotion was plain on their face and in the way they held each other. :inlove: :kiss1: That's how you do an emotional reunion of two people who love each other. It was a lovely heartfelt moment. I wish it had been longer, but as it was it was definitely a highlight. sandiego6656 04-12-2007, 04:26 AM i'm torn too. if jack and kate don't end up together at the end of this, i'll feel betrayed. they obviously love eachother. but sawyer has really grown on me over the past season. just for him, i want to work out between kate and him. goddessblue 04-12-2007, 05:07 AM Just the look on Sawyer's face....you could see how relieved he was that Kate was back, and was safe. It was a great moment. I also liked the Jack/Sawyer handshake then manhug. Well done. TRoss 04-12-2007, 05:25 AM Yep, I was bawling. They had to start with that "concerned" look Josh does so well - you could see Sawyer just waiting with baited breath to see if Kate would be coming as well, and then that SIGH of relief. SO touching. And then the reunion between Sawyer and Jack was more touching than I expected. And then to knock it off, the reunion between Kate and Sawyer - WONDERFUL!!! The tears were flowin'. Even if Kate and Sawyer don't end up together (and I sure hope they DO), I'll always love that the writers gave us that great scene with them. Maybe I'm becoming a shipper? It's a roller coaster ride, Pisaster, kind of like life. ;) If you can take the downs, the ups are great - like tonight. :) flashbackfan 04-12-2007, 05:48 AM Josh did great. I really liked the way he looked at both Kate and Jack - you could see how glad he was that Jack was indeed alive. palomino_grl78 04-12-2007, 06:50 AM Even though, I love Juliette, the Skate reunion, which had me totally swooning, was interrupted by Sawyer seeing her and saying, "What is she doing here?" But still a very sweet, romantic moment. It was a great moment. jc76 04-12-2007, 06:53 AM Loved it. regardless of what else happens (am am still sure that Kate will end up with Jack, even though I don't want her to) that moment was great. ozieozwall 04-12-2007, 06:54 AM The look in Sawyer's eyes, seeing Kate and then the big hug, quality TV. goddessblue 04-12-2007, 01:00 PM Even though, I love Juliette, the Skate reunion, which had me totally swooning, was interrupted by Sawyer seeing her and saying, "What is she doing here?" But still a very sweet, romantic moment. It was a great moment. He was still holding Kate in his arms when he said that line....he seemed very protective to me. palomino_grl78 04-12-2007, 03:49 PM He was still holding Kate in his arms when he said that line....he seemed very protective to me. Yeah..you're right. I guess I was wanting more. :) Zoriah 04-12-2007, 04:42 PM What I was really surprised about was the fact that Jack saw them for like a blink of an eye and didn't seem that concerned, and was focused on the other beachies. I felt for sure they were going to cut away to Jack looking on sadly. So yeah, that was an interesting choice to make. Perhaps Jack really has moved on with Juliet. I did love how Sawyer went from relieved and vulnerable to just wrapped up in holding Kate close, and then becoming protective and dangerous again when he saw Juliet. And I agree, they definitely were reluctantly to let each other go. Those two just seem to always be finding excuses to touch or have some kind of physicality. More subtle signals of the way they feel about each other and desire intimacy, and I love it. Eight 04-12-2007, 04:48 PM I don't get all mushy for the relationship aspect, however I definitely sensed that Kate was "choosing" Sawyer over Jack. At the very least it seemed she was genuinely glad to see him and vice versa. I think Kate and Jack have soured on each other and I don't blame Jack one bit. NikkiNap 04-12-2007, 05:39 PM Just the look on Sawyer's face....you could see how relieved he was that Kate was back, and was safe. It was a great moment. I also liked the Jack/Sawyer handshake then manhug. Well done. Hahahahaha - I said the EXACT same thing to my husband! "Awww, they did a manhug!!!" I loved the whole scene - I've never been one to care who ends up with who, because to me, that would make it a soap opera - but I have to admit, I've always believed Kate & Sawyer really do love each other. It seems so obvious to me, and this scene really kinda drove it home. But everything about the reunion was great... except that Locke wasn't there. (I know, sorry, I'm a downer.) lostlocke 04-12-2007, 05:41 PM Wasn't Sawyer and Kate's embrace sweet awwwwwwww! I loved it. I am so happy to see them together. Now if only they can stay with each other and not fight like cats and dogs!! lostnthesoutheast 04-12-2007, 05:46 PM I guess I was wanting more. :) Me too! But it was still a great moment! HoardingHurley81 04-12-2007, 05:48 PM Im just glad that nobody is referring to them as "Skate." Rubyfruit 04-12-2007, 06:10 PM It made me cringe - to be honest. If he was that worried about Kate - he could have gone with her and not lived large on the beach whilst she was missing. Too contrived for my liking. SLAVEMOM 04-12-2007, 06:46 PM I was screaming at the tv, would you just go hug her. Princeex86 04-12-2007, 06:46 PM It made me cringe - to be honest. If he was that worried about Kate - he could have gone with her and not lived large on the beach whilst she was missing. Too contrived for my liking. in case you missed the episode where she left, she ran right off without telling him where she was going, or even that she was going. he didnt exactly have a choice, her turned to look at the water, and when he looked back she was gone again. i for one wonder why he deidnt round up jin and hurley and desmond in hurley's beer mobile and go in with guns and do a drive by of otherville, but then they wouldnt have had any idea where to look. but yeah, so much for the "coudla gone with her" theory. spanks 04-12-2007, 06:52 PM Love the reunion, beautifully done. Wasn't Sawyer and Kate's embrace sweet awwwwwwww! I loved it. I am so happy to see them together. Now if only they can stay with each other and not fight like cats and dogs!! I kind of like their bickering:) . But I definately don't want a long, drawn out 'will they, won't they' scenario. Cariadlawn 04-12-2007, 07:36 PM Sawyer is protective, but he also respects a woman's ability to fend for herself. He has always allowed Kate to have her independence, and that's probably part of why she's drawn to him. I think deep down he knew she'd be ok, and needed to do this thing. Of course he was still worried though. The reunion was very touching, and I think Kate clearly loves Sawyer (and obviously vice versa). Zoriah 04-12-2007, 07:40 PM Like Princeex86 said: Kate took off almost immediately while Sawyer was with the guys and the VW van. She had a good head start and he would have had no clue where she went. Also he would have found out that Locke and Sayid went with her. We know he can't track worth a dime (and the two most logical people to help him had already left with her), how was he supposed to know where to look to catch up with her when she had a half day's start? And obviously the writers wanted the two separated so that a) Kate could work out her mommy issues with Jack, b) Sawyer could miss Kate and do some character growth on his own with the Beachies, and c) They could have a lovely emotional reunion again, as was showcased so blatantly in that scene. Kate731 04-12-2007, 08:02 PM I agree, that whole scene was wonderful. I was pleasantly surprised at Jack and Sawyer's "manhug." You could see how much Sawyer cares for Kate- down to the way he was touching her hair. It was sweet. I liked the way he was clearly looking for her when Jack first showed up too. I don't know... I guess I am a "shipper", but I keep going back and forth between Jack and Sawyer- which I suppose shows how well the writers have captured Kate's own indecisiveness and feelings for both men. I think Evangeline has great chemistry with both. GettinLost 04-13-2007, 12:55 AM I like that although he was genuinely relieved to see Kate come around the corner, he went to Jack first and welcomed him back. I liked that they first did the civil thing of shaking hands first,I loved that Sawyer then hugged Jack! And THEN - they did the "pat, pat, pat" thing that guys do to get back into the "macho moment" from the "sensitive guy" moment!! LOL!! And Jack's face has that look on his face!! It was very touching and sweet and I bawled all the way through it.... *sigh* |
